The joke’s been made before, but between Angry Mango, BB, and at least 2 Indian Gods, if Sakura could go maybe 5 minutes without being possessed by something that can easily end the world that’d be great
it wasn't good back during ccc when nasu tried to fix sakura and it certainly wasn't good in whatever the fuck this turned out to be

Sakura's main claim is being the one heroine in the franchise that never clicked despite multiple attempts to put her in the spotlight.

It's not just the worm slut meme, she's just not interesting personality wise (she basically waits for someone to help her), very powerful through no real effort of her own, and overly tragic to take seriously. You have more people caring about Rider and Saber Alter than the main heroine of the scenario.

Thinking about how based this man is. This section is so fucking good, Tezca is really a god.

Sakura's character is just being helpless, horny, and the source of everyone's problems. And then...she is helpless, horny, and the source of everyone's problems but she killed the guy who made her that way, killed her not!brother, and is eating entire city blocks worth of people.

She just went from a troubled plot device to a bitch. And she admits that she's a bitch in the scene where Shirou tries to stab her in her sleep because none of the shit that is happening is going on without her wanting it to. Like, nigger, what the fuck?

Shirou is as close to Angra Mainyu as anyone can be in Hollow Ataraxia and he is the chillest guy ever despite being mutilated and tortured by his village before being forced to stare at it as a crippled husk for centuries.
that too

As bad as Sakura is, she's still a slight improvement to what came before,
Weirdly enough I haven't played FSN yet, but somehow found myself playing a bit of the original Tsukihime game, and Kohaku kind of just came off as a proto Sakura in a few ways and tbh might of been the weakest route in the game.
Assuming red garden actually happens Nasu is probably gonna change a lot from the far side for better or worse, and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes it feel more like a HF retread.

Kohaku is unrepentant in what she does and at least has the courtesy of killing herself in one ending.

Nah Kohaku is massively better in having actual agency (rather than having her actions justified by possession), fun personality, plus the Japanese maid shtick is iconic. The weakest heroine in Tsukihime is Akiha who's personality is entirely "I want to fuck my brother".

eh
akiha is at least entertaining most of the time
i have no fucking idea why nasu plays so much into them being psued-siblings instead of childhood friends but that's just me not being a psuedo-incest fag on account of actually having siblings unlike the japanese

ciel is the real crime
imagine getting your route completely remade and you're still the worst girl in it

I might be misremembering things since it was years ago but wasn't Kohaku's motivation for revenge not something she actually wanted or desired but essentially boiled down to "I had nothing better to do so why not" , Sakura being possessed was a cop out but at least seemed there was some desire for revenger to feed on
I'm still convinced Nasu's probably gonna change it if the far side remake happens, question is which used good character your supposed to feel bad for he's gonna probably gonna take notes from, Sakura or Fujino.

Ciel's main issue is that she is mid. I don't find her as boring or pushed hard as Sakura.

Kohaku got her entire life fucked with by the Tohno household, it's pretty justifiable her destroying it completely. Sakura kills a ton of people while having the "poor me" attitude.

In defense of kohaku's route. It was speed written in 2 weeks which is why it's just hisui's route but worse.

Also, Akiha's story is arguably the best narrative wise. It's little mermaid esque where she sacrifices literally everything for shiki, and is implied she's the reason he has kill-o-vision, only for him to want nothing to do with her in 5/6 routes and in the 1 route he does give a fuck she either dies or goes insane.

Honestly, how come nasu just gave up writing tragedies. It's waaaay better than whatever the fuck f/go is.

What are you talking about, FGO is real tragedy with the amount of time and money people sunk only for the entire second part to might as well not exist.

More seriously, a good writer flips between ending styles according to the work, rather than sticking with forced ending types. Though most VNs stick with the tried and true "routes get progressively darker".

Fairly certain its a combination of losing interest (Fate is the one out of all his works that really popped off), and he's got other shit he'd rather do. Much like Kouta Hirano and his disinterest in continuing Drifters.

May as well not be at this point. Because if canon is to be followed, everything got WAY WORSE after stopping the incineration of humanity, we got effectively put on a boat to try and unfuck everything only for it to become pointless in the very end.

Essentially, after the lostbelts, we effectively went through filler and got a filler ending as a reward. There are plenty of ways to write good and satisfying epilogues and this is not one of them.

Implying that a bad/tragic end wouldn't be more hated
Is the ending perfect, hell no there's a good dozen or so things dropped, left unresolved, or ended up being shit i.e. shelock in the literal cuck chair, the foreigner OC chapter that may or may not exist, kirei doing fucking nothing etc. and this is the third fucking time its been a "just a dream" ending, find a way better way to end your series nasu
But 90% of the most vocal outrage are from gooks and chink outraged that there was no harem end and or the final animation wasn't you meeting up who ever you set as your favorite (female) servant but mash, I've seen at least a dozen different ai edits of the final scene from chink accounts where just as many different servants come up and sucker punch mash.
These are the same people who think a character reading LotR in an ideal animation is a a sign that the devs are still putting NTR in a game and have bought multiple trucks and a fucking blimp protesting multiple games over a single hand gesture in a single key frame of animation, I 'm giving it a 50/50 chance they buy one for the stage event on the 17th

he already turned tsukihime into le ebbin world-ending slop

I don't care if normie retards don't like it.

Going with the "True" End of Heaven's Feel was a massive fucking mistake. It's the only thing that even somewhat redeems that trashfire of a route. Shirou abandons everything he believes in for a horrible woman and dies for it is perfectly fitting. The magical bullshit ending where everything turns out fine and they're living happily ever after post city block vanishing is garbage.

People really shat on Nasu giving the Fate route a good ending because Takeuchi asked him to while being perfectly okay with that nonsense.

Tbf, Ilya dying for his sake made it more bittersweet.

I don't know how much Nasu was involved but the true ending of Samurai Remnant was a good mix of tragic and meta where your new game++ main character is so overleveled that he decides that fuck having peace where he is a glorified errand boy.

I forget if she's even mentioned at all.

It was Sakurai's thing in totality, I think.
the funny thing about that is nasu's weird and autistic idea of humanity achieving world peace resulting in pruning because that causes stagnation means Irori is cosmically justified in wanting to turn the world or at least japan which may as well be the world to these slant eyes into an eternal warzone

and, hilariously of all, samurai remnant is set in an erased timeline
