Tbh, I'm glad I got out of the hell that is fgo. To this day I'm not entirely sure how I managed to slog through all the way to Camelot, where the story became actually decent.
And hey it seemed to be going all uphill from there! You had Babylonia, Solomon, Seraph, Shinjuku all back to back chapters ranging from good to fantastic I'm terms of writing.

And then out came Agartha, Shimousa and Salem with first one being on par with Septem except without the mercy of being short, and the other two being ok at the absolute most.
Then part 2 came out and the opening is great! Anastasia is great! And then Göttermandung comes and is a massive step down from the quality of the first chapter.
Then S.I.N comes out and that's pretty good! Then India comes out and is a big nothingburger.

Point being, I couldn't take this schizophrenic writing style anymore. Lostbelt 6 and 7 were the only good sequential chapters and even then not if you count the main interlude.

And when paper moon came out and showed signs of being the same downard dip in writing I just said fuck it and left.
I can't trust anyone who likes S.I.N. tbh.

I LITERALLY Like Agartha more than China here. It is the lostbelt I dislike the most and it isn't even genuine hate, I dont even have force to hate it, since it is nothing to write about.

I was reading the section of it in the raid and there were lots of characters that I even forgot were on that chapter.

Do you know that every chapter has a different writer, right? The writers have their particularities, in OC1 you had lots of internal dialogue of servants, something quite rare on other chapters because it was by a different writer.

Face reality, Bazette kiwis. Gacha is poisonous slop. It's all going to collapse eventually. All the petals CGs are filled. It's time to give it up.

Yep. Still haven't forgotten the shitshow that was Septem when it became utterly Nero-centric thanks to Sakurai.

Still, if Nasu is simply stepping down and letting his cohort in handling the gacha game, I fully expect part 3 if it even happens to be all over the place when it comes to narratives and creative stuffs.

Would be a throwback to FGO day 1.

One last thing the makes me think its not quite over, Mash is still at NP4
All of her ascensions, skill upgrades, and NP upgrades have been tied to some main story chapter, so there might be a little bit left to go
Also, I’m fairly sure there’s no “CLEAR” sign on the Final Chapter banner. And there’s supposed to be an announcement right before New Years…

Let’s wait and see, I guess. I don’t hate this ending, but I’m curious…

She is one of the most cracked servants to date. She is basically what Kukulkan was at her launch and what Ciel was last year.

Absolutely insane gameplay

And from here, we're in rerun city.

Still curious where things are going. That being said, a hollow ending is still rough.

Considering that Olga went straight into the void reminds me of this unsatisfying outcome joked in Billy and Mandy. Complete with fall!

So what's the deal with this version of saber? I've seen some people say it's another case of Vlad and Charlemagne/Charles the great where ones more based on legends and the other more based on historical records, others say that this version of saber is this lostbests version because some people now believe that most of the roster aren't actually PHH servants.
I've already seen some comparison to castoria since she appears to break the game just as much, and it might take a year before a full explanation is given.

If they wanted to make the players happy, "Here's new Saber, better in every way than the old one. By the way, OG Saber can't ever be summoned again and New Saber just exists because they need someone to swing Excalibur still" wasn't the way to do it.

Haha I cant believe that all those craft essences that I stored years ago will be used again lol

It is similar to that. Basically Matter of Britain Uber Saber just like Charlemagne is the matter of britain Uber charles of france. There is an aspect to it for some heroic spirits. They get other stories and adventures besides the most famous and basic one. The same happened with Iskandar.

Kinda similar to people claiming that they are descendants of Heracles

People back then would write as much fan fiction as they did today. I did read a midquel book about Telemachus of Odyssey written in the 1700s during his travels around the world alongside Mentor.

On the subject of history, people were pissed at the ending of Sherlock Holmes to the point that they'd harass its author over it. The more things change, the more they remain the same really holds true here.

Well I never played FGO, but I watched the animes and played the other games. I hope they adapt the rest of FGO now that it's over.
Ditto. Considering the fun of FGO is watching servants not having to murder each other for some prize do actual heroic things on top of interacting with different people.

I mean they got 10 years of content to draw from. Though given it took them from 2006 to 2020 to finish adapting Fate/stay night, that basically means they got a infinite well to make anime from with FGO, given its size. It would also be nice if they made a free play version if they are killing it for good, but I won't hold my breath.

True. Babylonia was a TV series, Camelot was a trilogy of movies. And they have yet to touch upon any of the more popular singularities and lostbelts. Adapted to manga, sure. But nothing tops the silver screen in terms of adaptations.

The day they decide to adapt Bongistan's Lostbelt will be Game of Thrones tier if they don't fuck it up.

If they plan on EoS it, they definitely need to take the XDive route and make it available to play offline. Because there's too many story stuffs and crap worked on for it to just disappear into the void like so many other gacha games that failed.

The story FGO told is something worth replaying.

Jesus, they aren't going to kill anything yet. If you aren't deep in the story, nothing that happened so far will matter for the new player.

In my NA account I am still in LB7 and everything with OC and bleached earth doesn't matter for me yet.

And yeah, they won't be doing all FGO anime at all, it is too big. Even the manga that has been published for years, we still didn't finish part 1 and only 2 out of 5 finished part 1.5 and last year we just got the announcement of one manga adapting a major chapter in part 2.

I have zero hopes for anime adapting the main story of part 2.

Turas realta is better than any anime of FGO ever made. Turas realta made me cry over BENKEI, unlike the anime which was just basically a cameo and that was it.

And also there is Hector in there making it better.

One thing they could do that I think they've never really touched on, although I doubt they'll ever actually do, is start exploring the timeline where Shiro became EMIYA and spends god knows how many years being the jannie for the counter force sweeping up every thing Alaya demands.
Still haven't touch much of FSN, although I might actually change that this year, but what little I know about that timeline is:
Shiro lost with Saber but still survived the HGW
Became a freelance mage and got the red coat from a job with ciel/the church and fought something similar but not quit the same as Angra Mainyu
Ended up making a deal with the counterforce and fighting against some unnamed calamities, by killing a shit ton of people
Somehow gets summoned to a different timeline and depending on which route, has no memories, has memories and wants to throttle his younger self, or has memories(?) and is fine with his younger self.
