I'm gonna play through it after the lotto, it's pretty easy compared to 5.2 so I wanna take my time reading the story. I completely forgot to roll for Chad Orion though which sucks, but I can wait for his rerun. Also got my boi Saber Astolfo and I'll probably wait till Apoc rerun for rest of his NP copies.

I've played this more than once (uninstall/reinstall when i didn't like how my progress was going and/or got bored and lost interest in it).

What bothers me the most is that not only can't you solo with a character, but you can't even max out Mash's level unless you actually go through every story campaign, THEN you can level her up by like 10 more points for each story you complete. I've never had this problem with literally any other Gacha game (Mirage Memorial, Girls X Battle, etc...) because with those games even as a free player they give you the freedom to do whatever the fuck you want.

Everyone and their grandmother can play the mobile game and produce revenue, Arcade is JP only and mobile is been dying since the slow as molasses updates because Sony want to keep milking for all its worth, people has told them in questionnaires to bring the damn game to Steam or consoles like Square did with Dissidia arcade, but no, sony doesn't want it, they believe people will go because they are putting there the good shit, and the reaction of Tiamat is more volatile that anything i have ever seen and i have been playing this game since day 1 , they want to keep that you have to pay for time to keep playing it because thats where the fat stacks of money are instead of getting money of all the uber simps around the globe

Honestly I’m morbidly curious just how much money they’re leaving on the table by not porting FGO Arcade to consoles - hell, even if they just put it on Playstation and sent it out West where Arcades are fucking dead, we already have at least one example already on that system (Genshin Impact) that shows Gacha can work on consoles.

ESPECIALLY after Covid likely fucked Arcade’s profits up the ass. Sure, Arcade you basically have to spend by the minute, but how much did the Coof likely fuck them as far as profits.

You can definitely solo bosses in FGO but it needs extreme luck and extreme maths and you have to bring 2 throwaway servants since stages dont start unless you have people in your team.

In fact a lot players have been doing solo challenges that DW put more gimmicks in fights to Part 2 to discourage solo fights.

In the case of Mash, Mash is really extremely powerful in Part1, in gameplay and story. makes sense that you cant level her up immediately. She earns the class of shielder, she cockblocks you every single time

Alternatively there is the classic Arash tactic to basically use his NP to kill himself while you get another servant to target themselves.

I mean, she still has some utility for Challenge Quests in Events, but that's entirely because a MLB copy of Necromancy was not balanced at all - my record is having her proc that self revive 7 turns in a row Her kit being purely defensive meant she could actually stall out at least a few turns, possibly up to the Bosses NP, before you cheat and rez your team

Her "Literally every other case" utility went out the window in Part 2, when they decided she needed a more Offensive kit

watched FGO Solomon in theaters today
was okay. it kinda made Solomon bearable. the game was just text dumps upon text dumps upon text dumps with Barbatos grinding

The fight scenes are mediocre, the fight scenes in Babylonia and Heavens feel were much better.
but the overall satisfaction was 9/10 compared to butchering in Babylonia
