I think it's got something to do with how TF2 heavily (heh) relies on comedy in general and many of us, myself included, knew about the gmod/sfm skits using TF2 characters before we even knew of the game. As such, it's rather difficult to think of the funny pootis sandvich man or that apples guy whose head was placed on a train to create the "piss train" in a sexual situation unironically. Yet due to a certain rule of the internet, that's what happened and it can result in some funny quotes.

TF2 is just such an unserious game that almost anything that tries its hand at being it (ie: nsfw fanfiction) ends up hilarious. Especially if you read the quotes in the original VA's voices.

NSFW content that doesn't take itself seriously is the only kind of nsfw content that works for TF2.

Exactly. And that's why I stick around, who knows where a new gem will pop up that I can then quote to my friends until the end of time? Every time I read this sorta stuff I imagine it being done gmod smexual style, warped faces, sentence mixing and all. Particularly along the lines of Here Comes Soldier!
 
Used to skim FF.net and AO3 for comedic material from time to time. Rather than aiming for the low-hanging fruit of known sperg-saturated communities, I would just choose some random media I was a fan of. You very occasionally bump into good writers (very weird, even though I knew people in my creative writing program who were very good writers and were open about writing fanfic, just bizarre to come across). But more often than that, you run into just absolutely heinous shit. Like the fantasies of a sure murderer or sexual predator. The kind of thing that ruins your mood for the rest of the day. You expect some of these freaks in certain spergy communities, but the following fandoms surprised me with the amount of serial killers they seem to be harboring:

Phantom of the Opera
Resident Evil
Supernatural
Tomb Raider
Jurassic Park
Attack on Titan (the gay Levi/Eren stuff isn't shocking, the amount of rape is)
Nolan's Batman trilogy
Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit

Maybe I'll screencap some stuff at one point but I tried to read Killing Stalking against my better judgement and now I just want to take a shower and watch How It's Made.

I think when feminists yammer on about "rape culture", it's actually those who would likely simp and stan for them that perpetuate it.

Yaoi and other associated degenerate fanfic does more to glorify rape culture (typically man on man rape) than anything else in our society currently. Speaking as a Tumblr refugee (nigh ten years have passed since my escape, thank the lord).

Honestly the entire fujoshi community is fucking weird.
I mean, Isekai harem fapfics are degenerate but it's a simple minded form of degeneracy.
I've seen fics that describe themselves as being about the bond of two friends in a martial culture and when I'm two chapters deep it's sudden a/b/o. I'm not as much disturbed by the actual a/b/o but by the writer's idea that such a thing is some deep and philosophical thing about human emotion. At least Isekai harem fapfics are honest about it that they're just for getting off.

I saw a lot of a/b/o with Resident Evil and AoT. It's fapfic disguised as meaningful relationships, a lot of sexual assault/harassment hand-waved away because "he's just in heat guys." Really gross stuff. A/b/o has a lot of crossover with mpreg too, and you end up with this nasty slurry of fapfic that eroticizes sexual assault and the feminization/degradation of men while pretending to be something deep. It's honestly disturbing and the only saving grace is that women aren't really likely to kidnap men and chain them up in a basement to re-enact their "you smell that the beta's in heat" fantasies.

I appreciate honesty when it comes to weird fetish shit. I remember one torture porn author just flat-out saying "yeah this fanfic has a plot but it's just torture porn." Points for being upfront.
