Sometimes, a writer of a fucked up fanfic also makes a just-as fucked up reasoning for writing it. Here's one example, a Nichijou fic out of all things:

Only re-posts and translations of her works remain, and one of them was a classic where Luke is pregnant and intersex. That guy’s entire profile is genuinely sickening, he’s written hundreds upon hundreds of gore/snuff stories over the course of years. Name some awful fetish and it’s probably there with a very skeevy title and description. I didn’t even read any of the stories and I just got nauseated from reading the tags :cryblood:
 
While this fic isn't really high in terms of the horror factor, I don't want to imagine the attention span you'd need to write a fanfic about one character dying in various ways, let alone 149+ times:

I was in the Dark Souls section when I found something called the 'Folgers Flash Exchange'. Turns out, it's an entire collection of incest fic gifted from one author to another. Link.

WHy is the top fic in the Folgers Flash Exchange a Tom Riddle/Ginny Weasley fic? They aren't related? It's tagged half sibling incest so I guess it's gotta be an AU. I'm not sure I understand making an AU where ttwo characters are related just to ship them anyway. If you have a hard on for fictional incest then there are plenty of other ships? Ginny has six brothers??

It is. I came across a story a few months back, (I’ll try to dig it up to share the horror,) that had a weird “Folgers,” tag. I took a look, & low ‘n behold, it had to do with incest. I thought, “what the fuck!?!” the moment I saw this jingle in the story:

One thing I hate about pooner authors is that they cannot decide whether female anatomy is offensive or not. "Pussy", 'slit' and 'clit' were used, as well as comparing Soap's clitoris to a cock. But vagina? Oof, dysphoria, dood.

You also have to laugh about Ghost saying the Church is promoting bullshit when this ultra-conservative family who won't let their daughter watch rom-coms thinks said daughter is actually their son. It's Kai Shappley without the spanking and fears that their child is gay.

That first line immediately struck me as a woman saying it. That's a woman being pressured into sex and going along with it. That's not just naivety, that's playing on a girl's innocence. The real secret behind omegaverse and pooner fic is that most fanfic authors are straight women and what they find hottest is straight sex between a man and a woman, so thats what they write, even if they insist it's actually sex between two men.
This also applies to the old fashioned "mysterious self lubricating yaoi hole" fics too, although in that case imo the root cause has more to do with the fact that fic authors back then did not know and did not care how real life anal sex works. But yeah generally, any slashfic veteran will tell you that most m/m relationships in fic are written almost exactly like straight relationships. Or, sometimes, lesbian relationships - women have difficulty writing men, tbh, so both male characters will functionall act female. That's why there are 3940354 fics out there where middle-aged men gift each other cute little stuffed animals for Christmas. Slashfics resemble real male-male relationships almost zero.
(Personally, I prefer it that way. I don't want it to be realistic. I like slash ships, but I'm not a gay man and have no interest in what actual gay male relationships look like from the inside because I would probably, as a gay woman, find it incredibly off-putting. Of course, I'm aware of this fact and don't pretend that anything I'm reading or writing is in fact realistic...)

Using "hole" for vagina is incredibly off-putting, honestly worse than "cunt" and I viscerally hate that word. "Hole" for anus is fine and in fact that I would assume it refers to if I see it without sufficient context. It's just so... reductive. Give vaginas a little respect! It's where you came from!
