What are the benefits of donating to this GoFundMe instead of donating directly to the Trevor project?
I'm not saying I think they'd scam the donors, but I have been on the internet long enough to be skeptical when it comes to giving money to someone else to donate to a charity instead of doing the donating myself.

Ehh, there's something in just putting a link to the project that feels indifferent and not as earnest. The organization of a gofundme page makes it seem like more of an effort. It looks like the funds go directly to the Trevor project through paypal too

It's the same reason people hold bake sales instead of just telling other people to go donate to the Red Cross or whatever. People want to feel involved, even if it would technically be more cost-effective (and easier) to skip baking brownies and just write a cheque. That said, you're right to be skeptical, but it looks like the donations go straight to the charity, so... shrug
It's a nice gesture, even if they could have done it better. At least they're not taking superchats.
I'm so glad I'm not alone on the voiceovers. She has good comedic timing and editing skills. The voiceovers seem so lazy in comparison to what she's capable of.
