Spoiler: some shit about the movie (warning: spoilers)

Despite a lot of the marketing and woke thinkpieces surrounding it, Get Out isn't really about "fuck whitey" at all. It's more about how certain white people tend to put black people on a pedestal and come across as very paternally racist trying to appeal to what they think black people are like rather then actually treating them like a fellow human being. The black people the protagonist encounters when he visits his girlfriend's parents being completely awkward are the result of brain swapping because the white antagonists literally want to be black and they think that's how black people talk.

To put it more concisely, the antagonists of Get Out would probably love Get Out.

I mean, I get having C-PTSD. But when you're at the point where children's cartoons are affecting you, this is when you SHOULD start confronting some of the things that set you off.
