I'm trying think of something whitty to say about the author and childrens cartoons but I keep getting drawn back to how much of a loser she is.

Yeah. To elaborate a bit further:
Despite a lot of the marketing and woke thinkpieces surrounding it, Get Out isn't really about "fuck whitey" at all. It's more about how certain white people tend to put black people on a pedestal and come across as very paternally racist trying to appeal to what they think black people are like rather then actually treating them like a fellow human being. The black people the protagonist encounters when he visits his girlfriend's parents being completely awkward are the result of brain swapping because the white antagonists literally want to be black and they think that's how black people talk.

To put it more concisely, the antagonists of Get Out would probably love Get Out.
But a series of tweets from Jordan Peele prove that the SJW interpretation of his movie is correct: http://www.thewrap.com/get-out-director-jordan-peele-explains-the-sunken-place/

Not to sound mean, but this chick is ugly. She's not the ugliest SJW I've seen, but bleh.

TRIGGERED BY DISNEY

EDIT: This author, Sam Dylan Finch, is definitely rat king lolcow material. Twitter that goes on non-stop about every virtue-signalling issue possible, a blog about how you should stop being so biased against borderline people (guess what diagnosis she's got?). TL;DR of everything she writes: Everything needs to be about me! All the time! And you don't get to have a problem with that, racist.
I'm glad the modern sciences of psychology and psychotherapy advocate maintaining total fear and avoidance of anything in life that makes you uncomfortable or tells you your ideas might be wrong.

Oh wait no they don't.

When did Amanda Baggs get a haircut? And a shave?

No no, you're perfect just the way you are. It's the world's fault for not contorting to suit your wishes.

Let's hope she never reads the original book. THAT was some depressing shit. (You gotta wonder, what WAS Disney thinking when they decided to adapt "The Hunchback of Notre Dame"? I mean, it's not exactly a children's book. It's like Nickelodeon doing a cartoon version of Macbeth)

I mean, I get having C-PTSD. But when you're at the point where children's cartoons are affecting you, this is when you SHOULD start confronting some of the things that set you off. (At least, I would hope that a competant therapist would say so.) Or for fuck's sake, laugh at yourself. I've found half of the way of recovering from anything is making fun of it.

A new, fun cartoon about gender identity and ice cream!!

"Gender identity is a deeply personal issue" Lets compare it to a sugary snack!

Also, we cling to a simple binary idea because humans need male sperm and a female egg to make new, small humans. Vanilla and chocolate ice cream don't need to fuck to make small ice cream cones. You just need an ice cream machine for that.

And you can identify as vegan tutti frutti sorbet all you like, you're still just mashed up frozen stuff.

I may have taken their stupid metaphor a little too seriously.... :\

Reminds me of those unbelievably autistic anti-drug PSA cartoons from the 80s. Those things made me want to smoke weed just to spite them.

Something tells me those alternate ice cream flavors taste all fake anyway.

I honestly do not give a shit what gender you want to call yourself anymore. You want to call yourself "vanilla-ice-cream-gender", hey, knock yourself out. Just don't get pissed when people ask you to explain it. (I STILL don't understand the difference between "genderqueer" and "non-binary". I thought genderqueer was just a new term for androgynous)
