Does anyone else wonder what kind of drugs one has to consume over what period of time to make this kind of world-view appealing? Like, I don't understand why people get into this kind of guilt-by-association-you-are-guilty-for-your-ancestors faggotry, and supplicate themselves to a mindset that views them with the same dignity one might roadkill.

You have to be highly masochistic deep inside.

This is a pretty good if long article that I read awhile ago that can be basically summed up as that sort of thinking being completely detrimental to mental health in general. If I may armchair a bit, it doesn't take much drugs at all to find yourself thinking a lot of deluded thoughts if it makes you feel "safe" and gives you some sort of "reward." even if it comes at a cost of some kind. I think everyone who's on this forum knows how that sort of thing usually plays out.

I'd be a bit more concerned about the people peddling this stuff as gospel. It's pretty hard to tell the difference between the ones who actually believe the shit they spew and the ones who are just doing it for attention or profit. Although both are pretty bad in the long run, the scam artists are worse in the sense that they don't care about the side effects of turning gullible people into scared little children. And it wouldn't be much of an issue if this sort of thing wasn't leaking into actual institutions.

Building off of what DonutSlutshas said, this "guilt by association" mentality doesn't do any favors for people who are already self-loathing or have depression. If anything, this mindset exacerbates it. Not that these people(SJWs) would care, since misery enjoys company.

Something else that stuck out to me is how she keeps saying capitalism in the same breath as patriarchy. Are SJW anarchists/communists too now?
Sure. Communists who use their smartphones at Starbucks and wear $40 tees to be "ironic"... But you know, they totally think personal property is wrong.

I know I'm being a nitpicky little shit, but communists are against private property (like ownership of land and the means of production), not personal property. Not that this distinction is particularly important to SJW tryhards.

This has got to be one of their most passive-aggressive articles yet. "No, you're not a bad person, but don't you dare take offense, not have an opinion without constantly thinking about us or think being kind helps you horrible oppressor!"
So basically, you have to become the bitch of x group who just shuts up and takes whatever gets hurled at them. Who's parodoxly both required to parrot what's been jammed into them to the general public, but shouldn't do so if there aren't enough members of x group present.

And they wonder why people don't want anything to do with this shit.

So basically, you're only allowed to speak when told to. You also have to constantly support them while they're free to disregard your feelings.

So, these people don't actually want another human being to talk to- they just want a trained dog in a person suit.

Do people commonly talk to people they don't know in America? Because from my perspective people are mostly silent with each other even when not openly engaged in an activity like reading a book or something.

Or, more likely, is this women just being a liar.
Most people I talk to in public who I don't know respond positively even if reading a book. Maybe Canada really is super nice but I think the more likely explanation is that most people don't try to get angry at everything and will just politely ask to be left alone if they need to do something

"Don't talk unless I tell you to."
"Don't keep silent unless I tell you to."
"It's not my job to educate you."
"Don't you cry fucker! Only I have the right to cry! "

Somehow they expect people to validate their arguments for them, because they're just so busy whining on Tumblr they can't do it themselves.

This attitude is starting to become more prominent. You can't feel bad, everything has to be about race 24/7 (but you only talk about it when spoke to) and don't you dare have opinions of your own (let alone disagree with a POC). In the end, why would you want to be friends with people who don't respect you and expect you to be their controlled parrot. Not to mention that it must be boring when your "friends" only want to talk about one thing.

I dunno, I guess I'm just weird in that I don't really feel the need to make myself feel bad by reading articles that tell me I'm the reason the world sucks (but not because of anything I did, just because of my skin color, what's between my legs, or who I choose to screw). Apparently there exist people in this world who really do need a healthy dose of undeserved guilt every day, and that's why sites like EverydayFeminism exist.

Most of these sound like an abusive relationship, but it's okay!! White people and men don't have souls or emotions but lol drinking white/man tears

It's the same mentality that gets people dragged into cults. People aren't crazy kool aid drinkers on the first day. It takes time, where at first they dismantle any sort of critical thinking. This is "listen and believe", or "white allies need to just shut up and listen". It's to get people not to actually think about these things, usually by triggering an emotional response. You want to be a good ally, right? A person who uses critical thinking will realize that it's much more likely that someone is being paranoid than that everyone else around them is secretly sexist/racist.

Then they try to cut out anyone or anything that's "problematic". This does two things:
1. Socially isolate the person from non cult members. They start to believe that the cult is the norm. It also makes it harder to leave the cult, because they've cut off all ties to anyone outside, so they would be alone in the world if they leave.
2. Isolate them from conflicting information. They only allow information in from "good" sources. Dissenting opinions are evil and not to be believed.

Once all this has happened, it becomes much harder to change their opinions. Doing so not only means having to admit to making a massive fuck up, it means having to give up most of their friends. It also means potentially having to come crawling back to people they've probably burned their bridges with. Some of them are not even on speaking terms with their own families. To come back and ask forgiveness would be one of the most humiliating things they could possibly think of, so they'll go out of their way to avoid that. It's a lot easier to interpret any true statements that conflict with the narrative as lies that evil people propagate to keep the outside world evil and against them, and that their group is the special enlightened ones that know the true and honest truth of it all.

And then they are to hand over every dollar they have to the cult and spend all of their time working for the cult, either physical labor or recruiting. So far social justice hasn't done that, but maybe in a few years.

I'll put five bucks on social anxiety. It gives you the power to read other people's thoughts and hear how they are planning to harass and abuse you.
