Only thing to say: What is with the use of those emotes? Those can make his tweets on religion rather childish.I looked at his page for about 5 minutes before clicking off. What a dick.

This isn't exclusive with Dawkins. A lot of Western atheists specifically don't go after Hinduism or Buddhism because they aren't deliberately targeting politics and education in their home countries. You're more likely to talk about a religion that is impacting your home life than talking about one you don't have much of an incentive to know about.I've never seen Dawkins talk about any other religion besides Christianity and Islam. Curious on why he never goes after the multitudes of other religions out there.
Dawkins hates all religion (especially Christianity & Islam) & shits on it every waking moment... yet he still expects Christmas presents.
What a self-righteous cunt. Why hasn't his head exploded from cognitive dissonance yet? FFS

He has to come off as a condescending asshole somehow.
And LOL he reads The Sun and The Daily MailI'm an American and I know that those papers are garbage.
...OK, I have to post this golden hypocrisy from Dawkins.

People in Japan celebrate Christmas despite the country being decidedly not Christian, because it's a fun time and a happy season. So I kind of get this. But I suppose if you profess to hate Christianity you probably shouldn't be celebrating Christmas specifically.
The Christmas stuff actually brings us nicely onto a point I've been wanting to make for a while. As I'm sure everyone has realised, there are many branches of atheism. These include people who are atheists but are pretty chill towards religion, euphoric neckbeards, Freethought Blogs/Atheism+ SJW types and various others. Here's the difference, though; Japanese people don't hate Christianity, they just don't practice it. Dawkins literally never shuts the fuck up about how evil Christianity is and how dumb Christians are and yet still expects to receive gifts on a Christian holiday (I know about the whole "it was a pagan celebration, Jesus wasn't born in December, etc" argument, but that doesn't change the fact that Christmas is still a Christian holiday).
As a Catholic, here's my position on non-Christians celebrating Christmas: I think it's totally fine, but it would be nice if you at least acknowledge and understand the importance of the holiday for us. Christmas isn't just about presents, it's about the birth of our savior. That's why I don't tolerate atheists like Dawkins trying to have their cake and eat it too. Hell, the American Atheists actually put this ad up in Times Square a few years ago:

If you hate Christianity, don't celebrate Christmas. Make up your own atheist holiday and stop trying to co-opt ours.
Also, is he really implying that Jesus never existed? There's an entire branch of study devoted to researching Jesus as a historical figure.
What a smarmy cunt, seriously.
Christmas isn't a Christian holiday in origin. It's origins originate in the Winter Solstice which has been celebrated since neolithic times. At the time of Christianity's origin there was a Pagan festival that occurred on December 21st and it has been speculated that when the Pagans converted to Christianity they took the holiday with them. And it's been speculated this occurred as late as the 4th century AD.People in Japan celebrate Christmas despite the country being decidedly not Christian, because it's a fun time and a happy season. Early Christianity is rife with stuff like this. A lot of traditions we've come to associate with Christian holidays - Christmas trees, Easter eggs, etc - were originally pagan in origin. They were just co-opted by Christians to make the conversion process from paganism less of a culture shock.Christmas isn't a Christian holiday in origin. Especially since even Christian scholars speculate if Jesus had existed he wasn't actually born on December 25th. The Bible doesn't actually mention the date and contradicts him being born during the Winter. He was also not the first "Messiah" in various religions at the time to be "born on December 25th".
A War on Christmas? What would they do in a "war" like that? Vandalize nativity scenes? While Christmas itself is a pagan holiday, it's not like every Christian out there really cares about it, especially if there are still the kind that see it as a pagan holiday that sinful and all.The Christmas stuff actually brings us nicely onto a point I've been wanting to make for a while. Now as you would imagine, a good deal of fighting goes on between these groups and in a lot of cases they end up despising each other.
The activist group American Atheists represents another school of thought on atheism (mostly made up of euphorics) and is one of the primary proponents of the so-called "War on Christmas" (the poster above is the kind of thing they produce in support of this) a campaign that occurs every year, is a complete waste of time and even gets them called out by fellow euphorics.
This brings us to an interesting example of euphoric cannibalism. I don't know if anyone in this thread is aware of Pat Condell but if you don't I'll fill you in. Pat Condell is one of the most hardcore atheists on YouTube. He's a controversial figure in the atheist community due to his incredibly abrasive attacks on religion (especially Islam) and his political views. Of course, Dawkins absolutely adores him and he's got more than his fair share of fans.
However, the people who wage "War on Christmas" are so hated amongst their own community that even Pat, who will jump at any opportunity to criticise religion, couldn't help but call them out for it. Here's the video if you want to check it out:

Only those that literally think Christ was born on that day, even though before that, many Christians knew it being a pagan holiday that Puritans deemed it illegal.I'm retty sure at his age he is giving christmas presents, more than he receives. What a cunt.
And Christmas is a pagan celebration. Do any adult thinks christ was litteraly born on the 25 of december?
Weren't they also syncretized and/or brought over by converts? Either way, would any of these end up being misinterpreted by euphoric atheist who think every single thing in Christianity is stolen?Early Christianity is rife with stuff like this. "Stealing" is a very harsh word for this. Almost all religions adapt things from older religions. Much of Judaism has been speculated to be adapted from Zoroastrianism (The oldest monotheistic religion) and Greek religions. Chrisitianity took from Judaism and Pagan religions. Islam took from Christianity. etc.Weren't they also syncretized and/or brought over by converts? Gotta like how the post at the bottom expresses an urge in wanting to kill the person that made the tweet. Really though, there could be a skeltin war.
The people who do this don't call it a "War on Christmas", FOX news came up with that term so maybe it's not the best wording to use. They don't actually do anything except put up a few billboards and David Silverman (president of American Atheists) goes on TV to participate in "debates" which mostly just degenerate into him and whichever FOX news commentator he's up against yelling at each other and generate more heat than light. It may not be a "war" but it's still a pathetic waste of time.A War on Christmas? What would they do in a "war" like that? Vandalize nativity scenes?

Just because the pope poops does not make it a catholic activity, no matter how fancy his toilet is.
