I won't believe the excuse "she's too weak to bathe/shower." She walks and talks on stream for hours. Showers are warm/therapeutic especially when you're constantly cold and stressed from starving. But she chose to come on camera looking like she rolled in olive oil. Something about that just adds extra levels of confusion/revulsion for me.
Anyway, she looks like she'd smell akin to an unwashed rug people have tread barefoot on for 30 years. But maybe that's just me.

Taking a shower might cause other problems not related to weakness. It may hurt her skin because it's thin and unhealthy. If she's on camera with a bunch of bruises, cuts or tears from taking a shower it could affect her money or viewership.

Interesting. Didn't think of that. But I still don't understand. How can she bruise herself showering but not bruise herself living her life e.g. streaming/recording/photographing/moving about/whatever. I'm too stupid to imagine this. And I do not understand how bathing/showering can hurt if you have (physically) thin skin. If you have further suggestions, please explain.

I get showering and being dry af so makeup looks bad. But what I say is, I have never noticed her this greasy so the dryness does not seem a factor.

Plus hot water plummets a skeletons heart rate and they can pass out. Takes them forever to get back to barely functioning afterwards even if they do stay upright the entire time. Shower and streaming in one day is more than Eugenia can withstand.

Elderly skin tears and bruises very easily including from showers. It's partially, but not the primary reason, the elderly are given baths as opposed to showers. The water is like hail pummeling their skin. At this stage her skin looks to have low elasticity and nutrients so she might suffer from a similar condition.

The human body can take a magnificent amount of punishment. You always hear how weak and fragile we are compared to the animal kingdom but our bodies are nearly perfected systems of evolution that can withstand a crazy amount of damage.

It's insane to me how she can weigh 30kgs and still be alive. I hope she gets better, but the fact that she is still fully functioning is insane to me, seems to go over people's heads how unreal this is.

There’s no getting better from this, even if she somehow decides she doesn’t want to be the spookiest skelly anymore she’s done SO much damage to her body. At the very very least she’s already done heart and bone damage, her hair is so telling.
It used to be very thick and healthy looking (weird with the rest of her), and now it’s so thin and dull and limp.

At this BMI I don’t think she’ll die soon, but she definitely has starved herself into having a lower quality of life.

Consider how much of your body is unconsciously regulated. Hers is just trying to survive any way it can in spite of her efforts. That's what it's designed to do.

Ammonia. The answer is ammonia. Also a reminder that all muscles atrophy in anorexics. Weak pelvic floor = big time incontenence. This skelly pees herself, no doubt. The fat that pads the eyes and eye muscles also weaken. Lagophthalmos, for example.

Showers aren’t an option however sponge baths are and they make waterless shampoo for hair. In absence of sponge baths, there are waterless bathing wipes.

but this being a mental disease, self care goes out the window.

Ngl I don't believe this is the case.. It is extraordinarily rare for shower spray to bruise or lacerate skin for elderly. At that point, even her slapping her legs or the arms of her chair while gesturing would cause bruises/bleeding.

It's more common to shower geriatrics on shower chairs because sit-to-stand is safer and less strenuous for the client than standing from floor/bath tub. You are right about sponge baths for non-ambulatory/fall risk. Would not be surprised if Eugenia does this and has her hair washed at salon. I have seen this strategy used by wealthy geriatrics.

But now that you mention all this, she probably should use a shower chair just for safety reasons, if she does shower herself. Thus if she passes out as suggested above, she will be less likely to drown or fall.

Maybe she's allowed to only take a shower once or twice a week from her abusive mom. I also believe it's way less effort to sit/stand and talk into a camera for hours than walk up to the shower, lower the shower rod, turn the *heavy* water taps, find the correct temperature, wash herself and her hair, dry herself, take fresh clothes, and all the other skincare that's necessary after a shower. It cost a lot of energy.
