Yes. Morris has confirmed in the past that Ralph hasn’t filed taxes for several years. Pantsu (and Harry) were trying to assist Ralph is sorting out his long running tax problem, and even file in 2022, but it never happened. Ralph had already decided leaving the country would magically solve his tax problem.
I'm not American, but my understanding is that US citizens still have to pay federal income tax if they are living overseas - unless you fall under some exceptions - so it's not as if his current income isn't increasing the bill.

So when the IRS eventually comes knocking Ralph's only option is to hope Mexico never decides to be rid of his flabby ass, and to hope against hope he never needs to use his passport.

Talk about a fat retarded gamble.

Yeah, an expat still has to file their taxes. They just report they meet the requirements for the exemption.

It feels like Ralph has too much white trash wigger luck to ever face serious consequences for something like dodging taxes.

Ralph's life sucks. His being is constant consequences. His W's are disproving he tried to murder a mexican hooker. Fuck the tax man, I hope he keeps stiffing uncle sam because thats the coolest thing he does.

what do the IRS thugs do when someone owes taxes but is bankrupt and broke?
does america have debtors prisons like medieval europe? or do they just sit on that debt forever?
Idk, but it would be hilarious to watch Ralph try to explain the pictures of him in exotic luxury hotels eating $80 steaks and bragging about his 30k ring while not paying taxes or child support. I just feel like he is gonna get away with it because white trash wiggers like him do that stuff constantly without ever getting in trouble.

Heaven forbid the IRS was given the parcel Ralph owns and then they filed a Lein on it.

No to debtors prisons.

But tax debt, similar to student loan debt, can't be discharged in bankruptcy. In rare circumstances with legitimate hardship, they will take a % haircut on the taxes. "Ay don't wanna pay no taxes" isn't legitimate hardship.

There are only two offenses relating to taxes that are criminal; everything else is civil. The two offenses are fraud, which they will vigorously pursue, and failing to file a return, which they are pretty forgiving about. It's very rare for someone to be prosecuted for failing to file a return, and they tend to be high profile cases.

Any foreign bank that does business with US banks must be FATCA compliant. Ralph must have a bank account at a bank that is FATCA compliant otherwise he wouldn't be able to be paid his superberries. Not to get too much in the details, but this essentially means that Ralph's bank accounts are US bank accounts for the purposes of the IRS. They can and will garnish his wages, and they'll even get a court order to clean out his account, without warning. This happens frequently. When the IRS finally catches up to him, Ralph will wake up one day and see that his account is completely emptied by the IRS.

By the sounds of it, there's not going to be much for them to "empty".

I presume from that point they would just take a percentage of any earnings automatically until he is up to date? (No fucking never).

All of this is baffling to me, where I'm from you get a tax code and they then just tax your income. If they get it wrong, you can either phone them up, or they will refund you the money when they eventually get round to checking. Why in the fuck does everyone have to file their own taxes in America??

Yes he absolutely still has to file and pay taxes while living in Mexico. Now he makes so little he wouldn’t have to pay any taxes, but he still needs to file. I think expats need to make over $125k or something to worry about owing any taxes.

He won’t do it because he’s terrified of being on the IRS radar. He will just keep digging the hole deeper.

Lawyers and accountants make a ton of money handling private and business taxes. Companies like H&R Block are big business and completing simple tax filings for people make them big bucks. There have been advocates for a much simpler tax system, with automatic filings, but the accounting industry spends big bucks to kill it.

But much of it isn’t as crazy as it sounds. Your average working stiff on payroll has their taxes deducted out of every paycheck by their employer. They are motivated to file their taxes asap every year to get money back. For the average American, with a family, making under six figures a year the tax refund they get every year is like their yearly savings account. The one time of year they get a few k lump sum. (Also why they offer all the stupid sales for dumb BS during tax refund time.)

It’s a whole other game for people who have to pay taxes every April because they are higher earners, own businesses/investments, do contract work, etc…it’s where all the creative accounting, loopholes, deductions and all the stuff that keeps accountants employed comes in to play. Corporations loved the fact paying a tax attorney’s $30 million could save them $100 million in taxes.

Ralph being “self-employed” means he would have been responsible for filing and paying his taxes. I don’t think Gunt had ever had a job, so he probably had not the faintest clue about filing a tax return. Ironically Sandra was an accountant so she could have helped him but he probably didn’t want her to know he was getting any money or she might expect him to chip in rent for his “wing” of the shack.

I’d prefer they do it like the old days and send someone out to your home to tax you. Knowing Mr Nosenberg has to walk into the ghetto to shake his cup at negros so daddy gov can have more bombs for globalism would be a treat. Shit I’d actually be thrilled about tax season knowing that’s going to happen. The automatic discount on my paycheck and yearly filing to give them money because I traded crypto just feels like I’m being cuckolded against my will.

A PLAYSTATION CREDIT CARD!?
Ralph never ceases to find ways of impressing me with new levels of quantum wiggerdry. I couldn't even fathom a PlayStation credit card even being a thing- I figured even working class people living paycheck to paycheck would just fork out the $300 or so dollars requires to buy the PlayStation outright, or if credit was an absolute requirement for the purchase (as is typical for many single moms during Christmastime) they'd just use their normal credit cards or even the store-brand (WalMart, Target, Kroger, etc.) credit cards to make the purchase.

It's just....bizarre. I feel like the more I follow Ralph's antics the more I'm inadvertently getting a free university-level crash course on state of the art wigger finance- ex. payday loans, check cashing services, Chime, etc.

It’s not like a Best Buy card where it’s just used to buy stuff from Best Buy, it was a real credit card that a bank partnered with Playstation with to prey on unsuspecting young gamers with a high APR and probably less benefits than your average rewards credit card. It‘s a regular Visa credit card but it just has the Playstation name/branding. I used to get offers for it through email all the time since I had a Playstation but since I am a regular adult I laughed at the idea of actually getting it.

I thought it was as far back as the PS3 days but according to the PS Blog it came out in 2017.

Edit: the comments on the blog suggest there was an existing Playstation card prior to this so I might be right there may have been one even as far back as the PS3.
