This is the heart of the problem. May has proven herself to be a girl to cry rape to manipulate a situation or try to avoid trouble for herself after a bad decision.

I have no idea why these two things have any correlation in your mind but at a minimum I'm getting the impression that they weren't exactly cranking out Rhodes scholars based on the alumni I've seen.

Not sure it makes a school trash, seems like spoiled, cruel kids fucking with an old lady stuck trying to do her unpleasant job on a public school bus.

I can see a school not wanting to get pulled into a he said vs she said situation that occurred totally off campus. They have enough shit to deal with that happens on campus, without having to referee some matter that occurred entirely off school grounds.

If she told the school they also would have told her to report it to the police to handle the matter. It’s the only the only option a school has for something that occurred between students off-campus. They need the police to step in and have an official report so they then can take action, without that the boy’s parents could sue their ass for “accusing” and punishing their son for an alleged rape.

What’s weird in the whole situation is her not going to the police. She was willing to tell her mom, her friends, go to the ER, and tell the school…but not the cops who could have actually handled the matter? Usually the problem is victims tell no one, or only a peer/confident, and are unwilling to tell others or any type of authorities. May seemed okay telling people, except the cops, the ones that could actually punish a guy for rape. This is the strange part to me.

You said she didn’t tell you much about the matter because it was “fresh” but the story she supposed told Gunt about waiting at the ER for a rape kit is strange. They have some pretty strict protocols in place if a woman comes to the ER and says she was raped - it includes contacting police and a social worker*. But just going direct to the ER instead of the cops (who then escort you to an ER or medical office to have a kit done) is odd. I wonder if she told her mom days after it happened? (Can only get viable evidence from a rape kit within a set time frame)

(*They usually provide a special room to wait in until a nurse/doctor with special training arrive to do the kit. Usually several people on any ER staff rotation have done this training.)

She was 17, her mom brought her in, I assume they signed in and gave their info for registration, got the rape kit protocol going, then her mom makes her leave before it’s done. So the hospital just pretends nothing ever happened or are they mandated to report anything? Sorry if I’m being extra retarded tonight.
 
I do think it says something about May that she felt the need to alter details of the story to Gunt to up her inncence/victimhood.

She didn’t feel comfortable telling Ralph this was a fellow student she knew (to some extent) from school. Instead he’s a strange “Turk” and adult man who approached her in the mall for a date, an innocent Amanda thought she was ready to be an adult (which I guess means accepting dates from strange brown men at malls?)

It tells me, whatever happened, she feels some level of guilt or culpability if she has to gild the narrative. (Not really surprising given who she was telling the story too.)

May did appear to be very naive and dumb (as a teen and later) when it came to flaunting her body and enticing guys to look at her ass. She liked the attention. But I could also see this behavior easily leading to a date rape situation with the wrong guy.

She’s enjoying the flirting and attention from some teenage guy, she’s giggling and showing her tits and ass off. He thinks obviously she must want to fuck? Absolutely. They would have also contacted the police immediately to take a report.

The only way this story makes any sense is if they didn’t even wait to get seen by the triage nurse.

Special protocols go into place the minute anyone, minor or not, reports being raped much less requests a rape kit be done.

ETA: Given how quickly Jolene clocked Gunt as abusive trash I don’t believe she would have just got “tired” waiting for a rape kit to be done and made May leave. That’s rank BS. She strikes me as a mom who gives a shit and tried her best to protect May from her own stupidity

I think at a minimum we have enough variability in the accounts that there's basically a Venn diagram developing of
- Things @Alinktothefacts was reportedly told by May
- Things Ralph was reportedly told by May
- Things we know happen in the real world (rape kits, mandatory reporting)
- Things that don't make sense (Mom and May getting left waiting for hours when that runs strictly against any standard practice; complete absence of police contact in the story; the suspect is known, identifiable, and accessible to authorities)

Both Ralph and May have motivations to alter or invent details but Ralph treating this like an epic own of the Morris family indicates that he's fairly faithfully reporting the details that were related to him (as much as they are filtered through his drug- and alcohol-addled little pig brain).

I think it's clear something forms the basis of this story given it was relayed to two listeners. May is not very smart but she is extremely manipulative. She was attempting to provoke some kind of reaction from her listeners (sympathy, not having to do anal sex, etc.). Some of what she related to the two parties currently giving their recollection almost certainly did not happen how she described them, if at all.

So I am highly inclined to believe Jolene Morris is off the hook for this. It's too retarded for the events to have occurred how Ralph related them, but I don't think the invention of those details is on Ralph, they're on May. Ralph for his part is just too stupid to question the veracity of those details.
 
I'm still so confused over what he's hoping to accomplish with this. He's attacking Meigh's mom and comparing the audio tape of him to how her mom allegedly acted in that story? It's such a weird defense of himself.

May definitely told this story to Ralph and he is recalling it to the best of his pig brained abilities.

May told this story to Ralph to avoid getting butt fucked by the Gunt and because he wanted “dirt” on her mom.

Something untoward probably did happen with some Turkish teen from her high school but she’s such an unreliable narrator that it’s anyone guess what went down.

But if it was the straight up anal rape of the virginal teen as described by May to Gunt the police would have been involved. Her mom would have not got “tired of waiting” at the ER for a rape kit either.

Gunt would have constantly needled May to tell “bad stuff” about her parents. Gunt needed to alienate her from her family and would have required struggle sessions where she needed to tell him terrible things about her mom/dad/sister to prove her loyalty to Gunt. He could then use these things to throw in her face anytime she seemed to want to talk to family or seemed to soften on the Gunt war against the Morris clan.

May telling this story was part of feeding Gunt’s hate boner for her parents and he’s just been dying to toss it out there.
