It's genuinely a horrific situation that i wouldn't wish on my worst enemies but the fact that everybody knew this was the logical end point is what kills most sympathy. Honestly its less of her being a completely irredeemable sack of shit pedo and more that literally everyone knew this is how it would end up that makes people just not care.
It's extremely common for friends of abuse victims to just get burned out when someone goes back to there obviously abusive partner time after time. There's only so many times you can tell someone that the fat, alcoholic, benzo addict cutting you off from everyone in your life probably doesn't have your best interests in mind.
I wouldn't wish that abuse on literally anyone but hey I can also understand not everybody agrees with that especially when there where more red flags then in all of China to warn her. It's a bit distasteful but letting people say the distasteful stuff is pretty important to the site.

Depends on the bottle, gatorade/powerade has a decent enough hole that you can sort of press your helmet against, but if you press your helmet against it, you have to poke a hole in the like, rim of the bottle for air flow. Never really did the piss bottle thing at home, you got a bathroom right there, but I used to have a job that required a ton of driving and being able to piss on the go was pretty helpful. Wasn't always easy to pull over on the highway and rock a piss on the side of the ride.

However, my sympathy for May is somewhat muted by the fact that she literally conspired with Ralph to abuse Faith. Like, May isn't some random lonely woman who happened to come upon Ralph one day and fall for him without any knowledge of what he was - she was literally complicit (at least partially) in the abuse he doled out to his ex.

Maybe I don't understand because I'm not a woman, but it's literally incomprehensible to me how other women in this thread can be like, "yeah, I totally feel you girl, I understand what it's like to be in your shoes." Like do you realize how insane that sounds.

As a personal experience, Alcohol withdrawal was not that bad. You do feel like shit, but you can power through it. At least that was my case. Cigarettes' did come with a withdrawal syndrome of sorts, but it was not something physically painful, just the extreme cravings and fucked up shit like dreaming about smoking, up to a year after I stopped.

Hopefully I will never experience Benzo withdrawal.

Oddly enough benzo withdrawal for me at least was similar to how to describe alcohol. I had a seizure but I just felt generally shitty before hand

Eh maybe. Have to remember that they didn't live together except for short periods of time when she came over during breaks in med school. And while I don't believe his underlying spoiled child behavior wasn't present then, I do think he was probably a bit better behaved when Nora was is town. With Meigh, his life was already even shitter and he was heavy on the booze and drugs because of that.

Ultimately, his relationship with Nora was never going to last. As soon as they started living together full time, there would be no hiding his true self.

I think a plain old tungsten carbide drill is better, because overall it’s got a 9 - 9.5 on the Mohs hardness scale (diamond = 10, glass = 5.5), but also the benefit of the shank being stiff so it doesn’t bend much. Whenever a proposed hole has a depth of six times the diameter of the drill or greater, it’s considered a “deep hole” and measures need to be taken against drift.

You can even get a carbide drill coated with titanium nitride or some such, and they’re not terribly expensive.

The Ralphastone undoubtedly would end up a coating on an HSS (high speed steel [steel with nickel and molybdenum]) drill.. shameful.
