Tarkov events are always ones that make your life harder. That being said this one is ok in that regard. Wearing a beanie isn't the worst thing in the world. The random poison effects they do on halloween are way worse. It is keeping timmy's off their scavs though which is good although reserve is always picked to the bone now. I'd assume streets is also seeing a higher than usual amount of pscavs.

What bothers me about this event is the lvl 60+ arena battle pass item that lets you wear a facemask and helmet. I really fucking hate being pushed into arena to play main game. It's quite literally my least favorite thing about tarkov.

The nikkita interview yday was interesting. They are going to rewrite the game to try and stop cheaters. Hope it works.

Tagilla masks work with beanies too but they block headsets. I'd rather run with no headset or earpods than with GSSH. Also, I picked the wrong time to get three FIR LEDX for the rapist's quests; after the loot nerfs, took me 6 hours of constant Lab runs to get them - none found in the keycard-areas which are just straight dogshit now, but in decontamination zone inside orange plastic cases instead. This is fucking gay.

Santa opened the bunker door on me on Woods and I panic mag-dumped him before I realized it was him.
Next raid I was on Factory swapping out my shot-out plates for some from a Slick, and Santa comes by and picks up my CPC Mod 1 rig. Mags, grenades, and all. I couldn't even be mad, as I still had his hat and bag on that I got from the Woods raid.

You don't really have any option. The way I did it was to run through each floor and if they weren't there, scoot somewhere else and run Factory again. If they were in the offices, most commonly they were on the stairwells. Keep in mind they need to be INSIDE so make sure they actually walk into the building proper rather killing them on rafters next to the office as it won't count (target has to be inside office area, not you).

I hate streamers that think their political or world view matters. It's like NBA players, "just shut up and dribble." In this case game.

On a Tarkov note. I just got my THICC case from therapist and I'm grinding on. The XP grind this wipe is unreal. On one hand its good because Arena mains can't slam dailies and get so far ahead, on the other...It's now more benificial to split time with Arena to get that extra 20K xp in daylies.

I scaved for the fuck of it on interchange this morning and ran into a couple player scavs and we chased down a duo who were camping. The PMCs were trash but I had forgotten how easy group play is compared to solo. Solo is always fighting a retreating battle while trying to flank. Pushing is so hard unless you know the other person is alone. With groups you can be much more agressive. Once I killed the frist timmy (thanks to killa dropping a PMC and giving me the gun) the second timmy just sat by his buddies body until he was swarmed lol.

Edit: I forgot to add this, Santa is bugged. You can kill him multiple raids in a row and he will never agro BUT if you have killed rogues recently he agros on you emmediatly. Basically Santa AI = modified rogue AI. Stupid but....Russian vodka go blyat ctrl c ctrl v!

I have literally died every single raid this weekend except once. Doing lighthouse quests + tesf drive 1 and I might as well just go into raids naked. Sometimes I get 0 hit reg when I see blood and hear the pmc grunt and other times my ammo is just NOT penning.

Just died to a guy I shot 4x in the chest with bcp fmj while he was wearing a fucking PACA. 264 to body and 300 eaten by armor. 37 pen on a class 2.....he should have been dead twice over.

I'm disgustingly rich on arena but I'm stuck on TGH part 3. Either we lose and I get top 3 or we win and I get 4th. It's as unfriendly a mechanism as possible for solo players. I paid money to basically have my shit kicked in by cheaters and sweats. Arena needs to be decoupled from the game.

I reached the state of being tired of doing PVE quest shit, and just decided to level up Ref. I got him to LL3 yesterday. I suck so much at Arena but I don't mind doing it too badly because I want the BP M4 reskin and just doing Last Hero dailies is the best for my sanity. Honestly I should probably level my LMG skill from Arena because what I noticed is that I got to level 15 on PVP from just doing quests.

It's as unfriendly a mechanism as possible for solo players. I paid money to basically have my shit kicked in by cheaters and sweats. Arena needs to be decoupled from the game.

It's so fucking dumb that they locked the transfer between Base and Arena behind TGH 3. I think they should change the questline to be kill X PMCS in Arena, and idk increase it by multiples of 50. It's fucking stupid, I know I suck but at least have all those kills I get count towards something man.

Last Hero dailies is the best for my sanity.

I find Checkpoint tends to attract fewer sweats who have the spawn point order memorized. If you've ever been killed and respawned right in someone's sights, often the guy who had just killed you, you jnow what I'm talking about.

The RPD with PP ammo is pretty fun, and people who like to count opponent's shots tend to get a surprise when they don't know you have upwards of 70 more rounds on tap. The downside is you can't refill it from the resupply boxes AFAIK.
You can also go Assault and run the RPK. It's basically an AK stuck in the LMG category.
While I'm here: For SMGs you can get a Vector .45 down to 38 vertical recoil if you mod it right, possibly lower, even with AP ammo. I've been shiftong my loadouts to favor lower recoil over high ergo and I've found my K/D and win rates have both gone up recently. Maybe it's just because I've been practicing more, but it's worth considering when planning your builds.
I haven't tried the Vector 9mm yet because I already have that .45 bullet hose and the Vector 9 costs roubles to unlock.

I honestly don't think BSG gives a single fuck about player wellbeing. I wish I could get into PvE but it's not challanging enough.

Anyways I got killed by an obvious cheater on lighthouse with 6.6k hours. I uninstalled the main game, launcher and arena. We will see if I come back. If I'm not dying to rubber banding, ammo not working, sound not working or desync, I'm dying to a cheater.
I'm sick of it. I'm not a "bad player." I had 5.3kd at the start of the weekend which I think is respectable for a 40 year old man who plays solo and didn't play pvp games as a kid. I think the reason I feel like such shit is because of the cheating.

The biggest problem isn't ESP or other "harder" hacks. It's radar. If someone runs up to the building you are in and starts pre-firing every corner it's because they know you are there but not EXACTLY. Another sign of a "more advanced" user is they will run around outside the building to let the radar tell them how close or far away you are from them to triangulate where you are.
So an example would be, say you are in 3 story dorms in the bathroom by marked. You hear running. It suddenly stops even though you haven't moved. Then you hear moviment around the building and then they come in. First they will go below you in 1st story, then 2nd. You might hear prefiring at this time. After this they know you are on 3rd and they move in. You CAN kill people like this but it's a lot harder. Radar basically tells them, "someone is withen x radius of you."

I don't even know if it can be stopped tbh. I joined up for some HLL yday and today and the cheating is getting bad there too. Everyone was talking about it in comms.

I think I might just give up pvp altogether and focus on something that builds me up.
