Labs is quite fun, fren. It’s definitely the place to get samples done. Once you rip the bandaid off, it’s just another map.
I miss the times when it was just another Factory. People going in with hatchets or a pistol and running around was all sorts of hilarious.
I personally can’t hit a thing with the AVT over like 10m since the changes they did with it’s recoil. I just go SVT these days. You’re probably a more patient player than I am though, I almost certainly just put myself into bad situations shift+W-ing everything.
I haven't used it enough, but I have a friend who swears by it. It is chambered in 7.62x54, so even automatic LPS would shread raiders.

How expensive are your kits? What do you typcially like to run? I'm stuck doing Punisher pt 4 so I was going to Shoreline with a sniper to knockout my Shooter Born in Heaven kills. I got all five last week, but it's incredibly annoying to get the rest of the kills for Punisher wearing a scav vest because I can only reasonably hold one extra mag on my rig. So I've only been taking things I can topload or guns with one-celled magazines.
I did my punisher quest with either an MP-153 that I was crafting AP-20s for, and then at the end I said fuck it and made a meta RD-704. I used a 50rd drum in the gun and one spare 50 in my scav vest.
Damn, that would only be 5-6 kits for me LOL. Your comment earlier about me playing a bit more slow is probably right. But if I was using half a mil kits I'd be running and gunning too!
Nice, 2018 is before my time. I think I started at the very end of 2019. Right before Covid. I quit for a while because of the desync and cheating, but no other game can give me the feelings of tarkov. Hoping they don’t drop the ball with Arena, but I have faith it’s gonna be great.
I was talking to my friend about this, but Nikita and co. keep broadening the scope of EFT with no end in sight. EFT was initially created soley so BSG could make money to fund their next project, but it exploded in popularity. They still have paid DLC in the timeline outside of Arena too, which is hilarious to me. I forgot what they are codenaming the game that will be after Tarkov, but I don't see them working on it for another few years.
When Nikita talks about his ‘vision’ for the game, it’s kinda lulzy. No shot that they could ever make it work how he describes, they can barely get Streets running lmao. Though, the way he describes his vision almost sounds like a DayZ type experience with Tarkov mechanics, and that’s like a wet dream to me lol.
That next game being a survival game is so fucking funny to me. A lot of people already have the impression that Tarkov is a survival looter shooter. I'm just imagining it'll be a survival game set in the Tarkov/Contract Wars universe.
Yeah, people definitely sold it as a survival experience, but the only time that's true is when you have a blacked stomach, zero energy and can't find a fucking slickers bar anywhere on Customs lmao. If the next game has a bit of that I wouldn't be too upset, but I definitely prefer the PVP chadding aspects of Tarkov to the ratty survival type gameplay of a DayZ or other survival game.
Tarkov DayZ sounds like fun though. Actual DayZ is dry as fuck.
Finally got samples done because a raider had a mule on him after I bought black card. Found two MCCs and a GPU that raid so it was pretty fucking nice

I feel you on this one. I played like a rat for 5 kills and got bored of sitting in bushes outside of resort, checked my stash, realized I had 3 MP7 suppressors and just decided to do that.
I love the new rounds, especially the new .300 blk. CBJ makes the MCX feel usable. PP is also an awesome intermediary round and making it so BP is FiR or level 45 quest locked is good.
I tried so hard to like DayZ... It's just bad. Tarkov plays so smooth, DayZ plays like an early 2000s game.
Yeah dude the MCX has always been fun to use, but you just knew it was a bad idea overall because the ammo was just objectively worse than everything that was so readily available. I’m glad they quest locked BP, it makes the game feel dumb when every single PMC has a mutant and BP. The little ways they tried to extend the early wipe actually really worked this wipe, and that’s not been my experience historically so keep my hopes high for BSG in the future. Finally turning the recoil back down and quest locking hood ammo is exactly what we needed. Now if they can fix desync…

Downloaded and ready to play, but have not tried it yet. I know @TTD = Total Tarkov Death has access. I was teasing him earlier that I had access before him, but he might already have some thoughts about it. I think he mentioned that in the current setup it's a little bit grindy?
