I used to watch ERod's videos out of boredom. In fact, that was the reason why I had even started watching them in the first place, because I was bored in between classes at college and wanted to see who else on TGWTG I might like. I thought his videos were alright, but I guess I kinda liked whatever his opening theme song is, and I kinda liked his Twilight reviews (but that was probably because of how much he bashed it and the fanbase). I thought he'd try to be more creative especially when it came to him destroying the copy of the movie, but they never got better in neither quality and variability. The skits were Linkara-levels of cringe but worse, never gave a shit for those nor the literal-nobodies who'd show up.
I began to steadily stop watching his videos after his
Rocky & Bullwinkle review, but I started dropping him after his
Robots review due to how harsh he was toward the movie that was rather uncalled for, I felt. This was sometime before TGWTG revamped into Channel Awesome, so the comments are unfortunately gone, but from what I recall from it, nearly everyone had the same belief that ERod was being unfair toward the film. There was also something about one of the jokes not being funny or was too loud, but I don't remember which one that was, and I don't want to go back and check because it means having to go on Dailymotion to watch them.
That was the other thing that also is why I dropped him: why Dailymotion? I never understood why it is he's the only CA contributor to use it after Blip's death. I get it that the two hosting sites Doug used were/are(?) shit, and YouTube's copyright algorithm is a broken mess, but Dailymotion is a pain in the butt itself. I have to download videos from that site if I want to watch anything, and he's just not worth the effort.
And as an animation sperg, his shelf peeves me off (taken from the
Batman v. Superman review):
