Its impressive that all it took for people to hate Jeets was to have real life experience with them.
Getting rid of their few positive stereotypes (Apu from the Simpsons) and replacing them with gift card redeeming scammers in the minds of most people also didn't help.
Elon is too retarded to see that. All he sees is that his H-1B workers are effectively legal slaves and save a bit of cash for him to spend on more stupid things like the Cybertruck.

I don't understand the market for the Cybertruck. Chuds don't typically like electric vehicles, and we all know how well the managerial liberals like his collaboration with Trump.

It made more sense when it was first announced and supposed to be available by late 2020, with the base model starting at 40k. But the finished truck was delayed by years, was far more expensive, didn't meet the original claimed technical specs, and had a multitude of fit-and-finish quality issues.

That's just the product's issues by itself, not even touching Elon's PR issues affecting the image of his cars, which has been discussed at length here and elsewhere.

I only know one guy who has one. He's from the subset (it's most of them) of managerial-class libs who get quasi-sexual gratification from grotesque displays of spending. Those fag trucks are qualitatively shitty and very, very overpriced, like a dead-girl painting a Podesta would buy.

I think its more of a technology demonstrator. Instead of traditional crumple zones like most cars, it uses "crash cans" which are built into the casting that shatter instead of bend. Its a better design than crumple zones.

That looks fake. I don't think any company would disable a car for such reasons unless the company was Ferrari. Hopefully I don't get sued just for using their founder's name on this site.

chud can be , and often are, nerds who like gadgets. im a mechanic and would like to think i have discerning taste in cars. they almost got me.

i cancelled a model3 reservation when people started taking delivery and complaining about things like gaps in panels (or say… the suspension breaking as it left the lot.) word got around that tesla found ways to blame customers for “abuse” and deny warranty claims and i just decided they were an asshole company years ago.

thats all the reason anyone should NEED to stay the hell away from that company. never mind what a fuckstick elon is.

people have always done a double take or objected when i have remarked as such

pandering to chuds who do their own research , as they say, did not end up helping teslas bottom line, didnt get many new customers, lost many old ones

but sure im totally into electric. from someone else. ill drive the shit out of a BYD or a F-150 lightning when they become shitty and old enough for me to afford one :D so im in a far less exciting car whose MFG stands behind it 100%. maybe that kind of behavior is typical for, and expected of Tesla but … not the brand im driving now. being dishonest cheap scammy and disreputable is what fucked that company, not his dalliance with Trump. plenty of people (still) like Trump for whatever reason and will not buy one of those things.

I know a couple of Cybertruck owners and they are compulsive first adopters with more money than sense. They hardly drive them around these days and have gone back to their other cars. They were smug when they first got theirs and will refuse to admit it was a mistake but they’re the first ones to jump in and say not to get one.
