Nu-Hollywood visuals aside, that's a lot of buff male warriors who presumably also have M A N L Y voices. Is Ellen going to interact with them in any scenes? She's going to stick out like a sore thumb even more than usual. The people in the audience are going to start laughing as soon as she opens her mouth and out comes Kermit the frog's voice.

Steroids or hemorrhoids?

Unless Ellen is portraying a catamite who has been cursed, a eunuch who has been cursed, a boy with the plague who has also been cursed, a tiny mutant 'roid pussy gremlin who has been cursed, a tormented soul from the realm of Hades, some kind of rat person, or a faun which has been cursed, any role will be a laughable miscast and distraction for the audience.

Which is why I'm still expecting her to show up as a male deity flaunting her armpit hair and those gender-affirming crescent roll dough pec and ab implants.

But what male deity? It can't be a normal male because everything on her is tiny and feminine. Her hands are small and slender and so are her shoulders etc. They would need to enhance her entire body via cgi, and change her voice. Nolan could have chosen a real man for that.
 
Perhaps, befitting her name and book title, Nolan could have cast her as the Greek equivalent of a Knight's page. She really could work it in that part, plus the lucky warrior gets a bonus hole!
 
Why did directors stop using color? Everything is so dark and washed out in everything for the past twenty years. Is it to try and disguise the questionable cgi? They might as well just shoot everything in sepia, since it's all beige and grey anyway.

It makes me want to go watch a Zhang Yimou movie, just to remember that some directors actually know how to use color in their story telling.

Trailers ended up telling the entire plot of a movie because they did A/B testing with retards who all obviously liked it more when it was the entire plot and then they used it for everything and stopped going to see movies

I think this might be a pity casting. They worked together in Inception before and he tends to repeat actors he feels comfortable with. Maybe he just wanted to help her to have a job and some income for a role that might be suited for someone like her.
