On Wikipedia she's only listed under the cast section of "additional roles." Was she supposed to have a bigger role?

Edit: i honestly had no idea this movie was being made.

I'm sure it was expensive to make, it has a lot of big-name actors, but the actual cinematography and costumes look terrible. "Drab" is the word I would use.

It looks like a 2000s-era No-One-Saw-It with terrible/nonexistent blocking shot on digital instead of film. Public Enemies was the first ever movie in this genre.

Pooner Page isn't in the trailer because the majority of potential moviegoers don't want to watch a movie with her in it. She will be somewhere in the movie tho.

I will pirate the movie but I won't give Nolan "Pooner lover" my money.

Ellen isn't in the shot because Christopher Nolan isn't a retard.

Ellen's main focus is not acting, it's activism. Otherwise, Ellen would've just played a woman in whatever role she was in instead of forcing directors to make her character a man because that's what acting is; It's pretending. You can't shine a spotlight on that person in any way, shape or form and you especially can't do that when you're presenting your first impression of your film to the world. Then your film, containing the work of hundreds of people and your own personal vision, is now about whatever retarded shit Ellen said 3 months ago. Directors and Hollywood in general have...finally....started to notice this.

It would be fine if Ellen was actually an actor and not interested in selling books about her "journey." She could just be cast for a role, play the fucking role and it probably wouldn't be half bad but she's overcome with the kind of narcissism that makes that impossible without also turning it into a pulpit for cutting penises off.

It's right back to indie films for you, pooner. No more X-Men for you.

Maybe she'll be the VA for Polyphemus the cyclops lol. Can't wait to hear that lil dood voice coming from a one eyed giant.
 
As I expected, this doesn't work for me because of all the big Hollywood actors. Anne Hathaway just looks very Anne Hathaway and it takes me out of it, even in the trailer. I can only imagine how jarring tiny Ellen and her frog voice will be when she shows up in the film.

For what it's worth, it's cool that we've gone back to background 3D artists being a thing. Early Pixar you had entire dudes only making 3D trees, now you got them making theater backdrops.

I'll give it a watch if it lands on +7.5

CGI has completely destroyed the ability of directors to make believable looking films.

Compare that garbage to this from 30 years ago when you had to out effort into making a movie look good.
