What's kinda sad is there can be genuinely good and self-aware pooners character writing, unpopular opinion I know I know.
But hear me out, Mae Martin stays dunking on Ellen by having writing chops that manage to be good sometimes.

Wayward is actually kind of an interesting watch imo vs the whole ideal biopic of a trans man coming home-stuff Ellen is doing.
Cringe sex scene aside, there's kind of a decent story with a cult town and a hippie LSD drug-lobotomy cult leader running a "school" for wayward teens.

Eta: Would rather read as a pulp thriller novella, but that's just me lol

I looked up her looks from the past and she has had bangs, a different variety of bangs and fringes even but a common pattern is she has her hair parted on her left temple with the bangs sweeping right over her forehead or she outright shows off her entire fivehead prime real estate.
Some of the hairdos looked okay, good on her even, especially if you compare her to now. I don't think there's a single version of her pooner haircut that I like. It's almost always the same and it looks like your generic "this is what a man would have if he didn't take care of his mane at all" cuts that don't require products, she just looks like a dyke who doesn't care.

Sorry to derail the thread but we may have watched different shows because she was utterly insufferable, like not even pity-smile worthy. Can't remember the specific episode but there was one task where she realised what the trick to the task was and you could feel the absolute contempt coming from the audience as she explained it. It was actually great. Genuinely can't stand her, her empty, vacuous eyes and her chopped-off tits.

Right, I did try to say I went into it expecting Hannah Gadsby and got some genuine laughs compared to other feminist comedians.

Might've been, I know a separate thread to debate the kiwi in question was made but I couldn't find it despite trying. It's a hilarious and unhinged read and I really wish I could remember what the fuck it was called, searching "fuck pooners" or "grindr pooners" doesn't give me any results (:_(

To be fair, she was trying to disassociate with Sony in general after the 3D model fiasco. Basing another character on her without consulting her must have felt like a violation of her body for a second time. They already did her dirty once.

Yeah she should have quit acting and stayed behind the camera forever, after whatever she ended up trying to do about the naked 3D models. (Did she manage to get anything removed or get some cash out of it or was it just "Sony says no"?) It's clear this stuff was not good for her mind.

IIRC, she was paid for what Sony did to her though. Still, not enough to retire.
