Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the 11th Democratic presidential debate, on Sunday, is set to look and sound quite different from the previous 10.

To prevent further transmission of the virus, the Democratic National Committee announced Thursday it will hold the debate in Washington, D.C., with no live audience, instead of its original planned location of Arizona, one of four states voting on Tuesday.

The debate is being hosted at 8 p.m. ET by CNN along with CNN en Español, CNN International and Univision, and will take place at CNN studios.

The debate will be moderated by CNN's Dana Bash and Jake Tapper and Univision's Ilia Calderón.

They were originally to be joined by Univision's Jorge Ramos although the network has since announced that he will not to be part of the debate following a potential secondary exposure to the coronavirus.

Which candidates will be there?

Former Vice President Joe Biden and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders are the remaining two viable contenders for the Democratic nomination and will be the only candidates onstage Sunday night.

This comes following a series of presidential candidates suspending their campaigns in the days before and after the Super Tuesday contests on March

Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is still actively running, though she did not meet the DNC's qualification for the debate. A candidate needs at least 20% of delegates awarded so far to be onstage; Gabbard has earned just two delegates out of nearly 1,800 awarded so far.

Begins at 8 PM EST and ends at 10 PM EST

In this penultimate(?) Democratic debate, Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders will help America decide whose the most electable Democrat (answer: probably noone)

Your Candidates Are:
Joe Biden

Bernie Sanders

And sadly no Tulsi Gabbard : (

So, with the stage no longer loaded with candidates, and without any supportive audiences, what do you guys think the outcome will be? Will Bernie turn out to be more mentally sound than Biden and use the debate to make a comeback? Or will Bernie cuck out again? Who knows!

A very interesting tweet

Tweets like this are just a reminder that a whole generation has been raised to hate other races, as well as their own. Yeah, it's minor, but it's the result of banning anything like Song of the South. No positive interactions between races allowed, no possibility of shared nation or culture, no shared history or heritage. Us vs them. "The past majority" vs "the future majority". And they are giddy with the thought of what they'll do when they're in power.

The dream of the Civil Rights era is dead and it is the successors of the Civil Rights movement that killed it.

The problem that most people have with Song of the South is made off misinterpreted scenes from the film. Their assumption is that because of the time that the movie took place, during the Reconstruction, so, therefore, it gives people reminders of a past that they wouldn't want to relive, specifically niggas being portrayed in the "magical negro" stereotype as Uncle Remus is.

Which I say, p'shaw. Song of the South's main lesson is to accept other people and other cultures, mostly black culture. Also, Br'er Rabbit and that's fun. You get some of that Ward Kimball animation in there. Coolio.

It's depressing that we live in a time where Dr. King's dream of a world where no one's judged based on their skin color is racist.

The entire point of Song of the South is that we, as Americans, can recover from what slavery was and did to people and that we can make what comes after something beautiful. The stories that slaves told to each other, that kept them sane during slavery, are stories that have value and can be enjoyed by everybody. That these are American stories, a new American mythology, and that's something wonderful.

But no, it has a black former slave smiling alongside white children. Obviously it's unrealistic, because nobody was ever happy during Reconstruction era or Jim Crow South. Obviously everyone was miserable, all the time, and you should be miserable now and hate everyone around you. Why? "Racial justice".

Biden's working with a portion of his formally unintelligent mind. Bernie is entirely too weak on the attack. Biden's is not his friend. Biden is the DNC puppet put in place to keep Bernie from the nomination. But, sadly, Bernie has a history of this cuckish behavior. He lets BLM activists take over his events. He bows out when confronted.

Bernie is too weak to be president, and Biden is too 'tarded and senile to be president.

I just want to mention I have a laserdisk copy of Song of the South and have transposed it to DVD, and I will give it up when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.

Even in Joe's barely conscious state, I don't think he'd be that redundant.

Seriously, it was boring debate. No knock out punch for Bernie. Joe rambling on and on as he usually does. It was painful.
Nah, Joe seemed a lot more lucid while all Bernie did was deflect. They're both too old, but Joe isn't a filthy commie.

Before a kiwi posted the full debate i saw a snippet about Coronavirus where joe talks about sending the national guard to hospitals etc and some comment was like "What bernie wants is being supported by how covid-19 is going" and i was just thinking yea because Italy's healthcare sure worked.

The title of this thread literally made me lol so hard I actually spit out my coffee. These guys look completely insane, which I guess in the grand scheme of things is really not that far from the truth.

Does Bernie ever answer a question? His stance is either to agree or immediately change the subject to some boogimen.
Everything Bernie says eventually leads to these topics:
  • Billionaires
  • Wall Street
  • Universal healthcare
  • Orange man
  • Free college/student debt
  • Climate change (GND)
In other words, he’s a one trick pony and can’t talk about anything besides these things. He has no new ideas besides make everything free and the GND (which wasn’t his own idea to begin with). He can’t negotiate at all and his debate skills are poor for someone being in the public eye for so long. Just like his selling out to Hillary in 2016, I have no doubt that Bernie would sell out to the groups he claims to be against (such as big banks and corporations).
