I considered myself not only an Elden Ring blast haver but also an Elden Ring knowledge knower.

Turns out I didn't know shit because today it occurred to me that you CAN parry Tree Sentinels and Loretta. You don't get a riposte of course but just the fact that parrying in an option is neat. I don't know why I thought it wouldn't work, I guess I heard "you can't parry that" once somewhere and never questioned it. Oh yeah and the Burial Watchdogcats, you can parry those fuckers too. News to me.

I think the sheer random list of moves that can be parried is a huge weakness, why would I even fucking try to do so when like 1-2 attacks from Morgott's entire moveset is parryable?

I think Morgott is almost intuitive when it comes to parrying compared to the retardation that is Messmer (everybody seems to like Messmer but man, I'm very disappointed in that edgy-looking cunt in almost every way. There's a discernable rhythm to the fight at least so I'll give it that).

With Morgott, I can't parry the holy spectral weapons or the sword grab, but pretty much all of the normal sword attacks I can parry. One is just so ridiculously fast that it's hard to land. Perhaps some attacks mid-combo can't be parried, and that's what you meant?

People like Messmer less for the boss fight and more for him giving the Hornsent exactly what they decerved. He did nothing wrong.

The boss fight is still cool as fuck and a very well balanced one at that, he's also a cool character that successfully sells the player on alot of pathos and backstory with basically just two scenes, all in the same fight even.

He's a rarity too, in the Souls series as a whole, he's one of the few Bosses that isn't insane, doesn't hate us for existing, or needs to kill us for some power grabbing reason, no, Messmer reluctantly has to kill us entirely for Legality reasons, and makes that known in like two sentences, also the very fact we are there, WITH GRACE means he knows he's been betrayed by Marika, and that his oath to kill all beings without Grace was always a crusade that was going to have its loose ends tied up by "you" a Tarnished, its such an unbelievable betrayal and he sells that well.

he's level ~375, is that low?
Motherfucker plays a melee tank build with more FP than stamina. Very exceptional, almost retarded. I guess he's a half int-based guy since he's got the moonlight greatsword, but still. Then again if you're lvl 400 you gotta dump those stats somewhere.

Is this some silly pet cow of yours or is it a KF hall of famer I don't recognize

Oh shit, it was a KF character! Enjoying the video, good stuff. Like DSP but not as jarring, in a way. Great background noise, almost comfortable!

e: as soon as I said that, he started screaming. Probably about Trump, not sure, but he's been screaming for quite a while now. He likes to scream the words "why" and "liar". I don't think it's about Elden Ring anymore.

This stream has broken my tarnished soul. He just talks and mutters like a parrot this is...this is, I don't what it is but I can't stop watching. I'm pretty certain, I could beat him with a level 125 character in PVP.

Level 300+ check.
All the way to the end of the DLC and Doesn't know the spacing of his main weapon. Check.
Mainly spamming projectiles. Check.
Nah he needs more levels.
At least he didn't have both stat seals equipped. So there's that I guess.
He needs to get gud instead of more levels.

I've been listening to ER streams (even DSP's) while trudging through this current playthrough. This shit went immediately to the top of the list, can't wait for the next session. It's amazing. The guy has a half-soothing, sympathetic Luther Morgan-esque voice but he can go psycho at any minute.

Speaking of psychos, my love quest is still ongoing and my thirst for womanly companionship remains unquenched. I will currently accept even crazy bitches. I mean really fucking crazy, crazier than Rennala. I met one cool chick, but just when I was about to propose she did the classic thing and died in a swamp. She's got some almost identical sisters, but as luck would have it they died in a swamp.

Here's my current drip. I name this look "The Lonesome Heterosensual". It showcases my ability to embrace my own masculine scent, while at the same time pulling off a feminine skirt without coming off as gay, at all. Like I'm in touch with my feelings and shit but I can still kill you in a roid rage, and I totally like women and their genitalia instead of huge cocks. Still can't see my pretty face in this but you know, those bandages take ages to get them like that and I just got done with them

Max level in Elden Ring is 713, with 99 in all stats. People who like playing the game online will stop levelling at 125 to 150 due to the game's matchmaking being level based for PVP and cooperative PVE (unless you have a multiplayer password for bring in your friends for co-op play) , which is where you'll get 60 into your health stat and 60-80 in a main damage stat. Those are the hard caps for those stats, and you get vastly diminishing returns after that. However, you're wrong about his level.
Stats.png

Here you can see his level is 487. He's at the point that a lot of these numbers aren't doing much, but better distribution would've bumped down some of his stuff sitting at 80 (Mind, which is the blue bar that lets him buff the blue sword so that it can shoot magic waves, for instance) and bump Faith, Dexterity, or Arcane to 80. Strength at 64 is fine, and mathematically is better to leave at 54. It's below the damage stat hard cap, but two handing any weapon multiplies your Strength stats by 1.5, which would cause Strength to be at its hard cap of 80.

As for his actual gameplay, his biggest problem seems to be he's bad at paying attention to what's going on with his own character. If you look at the green bar, that's stamina, which is used for almost every action besides using consumables and walking, he's constantly bottoming it out. What's interesting is that at the start of where you time stamped, he's very clearly reacting to what the boss is doing fairly well. For reference, he's fighting one of the hardest bosses Fromsoft (the developers of this game known currently as the hard game developers) has made recently. It has a lot of attacks that are made specifically to have almost perfect timing on catching people at the tail end of their invulnerability frames while dodging, so his adjustments at the that point in the boss attempt you linked to aren't bad. He even manually unlocks (that's what's causing the white dot in the center of the big guy and his camera tracking it so well) from the boss when it starts floating up and tries to run out of its big explosion attack and I'll say it is pretty bullshit. He recognizes he got caught on something, but I think he actually got caught on an invisible collision box under the boss when it was floating in the air rather than his mimic tear summon (the clone of him he summons at the start of each attempt and calls his minion) he blames it on. The rest of the attempt is him getting more upset and fumbling his inputs even more, but it is neat he actually recognizes his weapon is probably out of range before he actually misses the magic wave attack. He's very cognizant of what the boss is doing and is able to defend himself or rely on his armor to trade attacks with the boss when he isn't running out of stamina. He also misses when the glowing buff on his sword runs out, causing him to inputs strong attacks when the buff isn't active and his weapon won't shoot out magic waves. It's also why he tends to heal in situations he shouldn't, because he suddenly realizes he's low on health.

His choice of armor is good. It's the Verdigris set, which is the most protective set in the game. Maybe not the most numerically efficient as there is armor weight that can effect your dodges and make them worse, but he has the stats to wear it and still have fine dodges. His choice of talismans, which are causing those little symbols under his stamina bar, aren't great.
Talismans.png

Those things half hidden by his head are his talismans. The one that looks like a pair of goat horns is allowing him to swing into the boss and trade attacks with it without getting stunned due to raising his poise stat. To be fair, it might be overkill due to the high poise of his armor and his sword giving him poise during his swings. The one that looks like a slab of silver with a dragon on it is raising his physical defenses by 20% and is a pretty good slot considering he's swinging into boss attacks. His other two, however, are bad. One is raising item discovery and the other boosts attack after killing an enemy. Neither of these have any effect during this boss.

I just want to say that his play is probably scrubbier due to mimic tear being a very strong summon that can carry, but overall it's not the worst I've seen and he had to clear some pretty difficult bosses to even get to this point in the game. I imagine he hasn't summoned another actual person. He'd improve greatly if he was more cognizant of his stamina bar. His levels are not the problem. He'd actually probably do better in a game like Sekiro, another Fromsoft game but this time without a stamina bar or RPG stats to mess up. He's shown he can competently react to boss attacks, at least when not sperging out due to his schizophrenia.

TL;DR: He is more mechanically skilled than DSP and would honestly breeze past this boss if he wasn't so scattered brained and ranting about Youtube or Donald Jackass Trump during his boss attempts. He also doesn't seem to understand the RPG systems very well, but that may be him refusing advice out of his mental illness. Schizophrenia has ruined a man who could be a hardcore, capital G, Gamer.

He hates Indians so at least he's based in that regard.
