I think it's high time we create a separate thread just to throw in the unrelenting wave of articles, pushing for people to eat the bugs.

In the last few couple months, we've had articles like these:

You WILL eat ze bugs, goy.

I remember how they heavily pushed the "Eat the bugs" narrative around the exact same time they were astroturfing Greta Thunberg. Climate fear mongering and bug eating pretty much go hand in hand. While looking up articles to demonstrate this point, I discovered that they've been pushing for this since at least 2011.

"Save the Planet, Eat a Bug" - August 15 & 22, 2011 Issue, The New Yorker
Yeah basically they think cow farts are going to kill us all so we have to eat bugs instead

I once ate a witchity grub.

Question for those who know entomology, don’t most bugs deliberately have a foul taste to discourage predators? I’ve seen my dog catch a fly and spit it out in disgust for that reason.

I shared some of my personal thoughts about the eat ze bugs deal in a thread about UK schools looking to add bug grub into schools, as someone who lives in a country where eating bugs is not as taboo as in others, i'll bring some insight and what i think these people are doing wrong.

PL warning.
If you find yourself in an average street market, chances are you'll find a stand that sell crisp crickets, ants and worms alongside beans and candy.

You can buy a small bag for about a dollar or two and make yourself some cricket tacos with salsa verde, gorditas, tlacoyos, etc, or just pour some valentina with lemon and eat them away like chips (personal take, but i believe that what many of these people get wrong is that they eat them raw with 0 condiments. You gotta toast these motherfuckers with salt/chilli powder and soak them in a nice sauce or guacamole), the first bite is crisp but (if done right) the interior is soft and a little acid. They're a fun way to change things for a little if you're bored of eating the same things over and over, but hear me out, these people don't want to change things for a little, they want to out right make you stop eating meat, and they'll try to make it so eating meat becomes more expensive with time.
The difference is that i can freely have a diet of beef, chicken, pork, fish, and bugs at any time, but, in the name of "progress" and "the climate", they want to make me eat bugs and bugs only, which i have issues with not because i don't like eating bugs, but because they want to police me about what i can and cannot eat, i like bugs but they simply cannot replace a good steak. It's true that a high percentage of the world population eats them, but they twist the reasons why, 90% of the people who mostly eat bugs come from dirt poor countries where there's literally nothing else to eat, they don't do it because they like them like me, but because that's all they have, trust me when i tell you that if you offended a stranger in the streets either a kilo of beef or a kilo of crickets, they'll take the beef 99.99% of the time. Globalists push this and many more excuses to IMPOSE the bugs and demonize meat, in a better timeline they would show bugs as complements to meat, not replacements, which is what they're doing and why many people are understandably rejecting them, don't force people to eat something they don't want to, if they want to eat ze bugs then fine, if they don't then fine, people have the right to choose what they eat.

Its for that exact reason why animals that are actually built to properly process insects can get away with it. Bats, chickens, lizards, frogs, and fish.

Now, some insects DO secrete foul fluids in order to make them unpalatable. Another strategy is having bright and garish colors to tell the would-be predator that consuming this insect would lead to poisoning. Which is true most of the time as poisonous insects are a thing.

Now as for the elite's fetish of forcing people beneath them to demean themselves, part of the reason why eat ze bugs as pure replacement simply isn't practical is due to the following issues:

-Being prone to disease and parasites. Insects more often than not are host to parasites. Be it something meant to assist the insect in digestion or a big you are my host until I find a better one. And if improperly treated, which is bound to happen as insects are numerous, said pathogens will show up in humans.
-Chitin. Imagine eating your own hair. It is counter productive. Adds weight but no substance. The aformentioned insectovores above can actually use it. Chickens and lizards in particular.
-Digestive tract being next to impossible to remove due to the small size the insect is. AKA the location where said parasites USUALLY reside. There are exceptions where some parasites show up in other parts of the insect's body.

TL;DR: Eat Ze Bugs is definitely a meme and the elites are trying to get you to buy into it so they can better rule over you if you're malnourished like a 3rd worlder. After all, if you're weak and pathetic, there's nothing you can do with their tyranny. Usually. Then again, their plan isn't too different from the fictional one below.

Went to the zoo the other day. First a mtf troon took my ticket at the entrance, a ftm tranlett wanted to take my picture as soon as I walked in, and one of the first information plaques at an exhibit was saying how nutritious bugs are and how they are the food of the future.

I'm not opposed to eating insects personally, I just despise that bankers are pushing it for the commoners even though they will continue to eat filet mignon. A quick question: can crickets actually be appetizing? I've tried them once, and it was like a small bit of flavorless protein encased in popcorn kernels.
