I shared some of my personal thoughts about the eat ze bugs deal in a thread about UK schools looking to add bug grub into schools, as someone who lives in a country where eating bugs is not as taboo as in others, i'll bring some insight and what i think these people are doing wrong.
PL warning.
If you find yourself in an average street market, chances are you'll find a stand that sell crisp crickets, ants and worms alongside beans and candy.

You can buy a small bag for about a dollar or two and make yourself some cricket tacos with salsa verde, gorditas, tlacoyos, etc, or just pour some valentina with lemon and eat them away like chips (personal take, but i believe that what many of these people get wrong is that they eat them raw with 0 condiments. You gotta toast these motherfuckers with salt/chilli powder and soak them in a nice sauce or guacamole), the first bite is crisp but (if done right) the interior is soft and a little acid. They're a fun way to change things for a little if you're bored of eating the same things over and over, but hear me out, these people don't want to change things for a little, they want to out right make you stop eating meat, and they'll try to make it so eating meat becomes more expensive with time.
The difference is that i can freely have a diet of beef, chicken, pork, fish, and bugs at any time, but, in the name of "progress" and "the climate", they want to make me eat bugs and bugs only, which i have issues with not because i don't like eating bugs, but because they want to police me about what i can and cannot eat, i like bugs but they simply cannot replace a good steak. It's true that a high percentage of the world population eats them, but they twist the reasons why, 90% of the people who mostly eat bugs come from dirt poor countries where there's literally nothing else to eat, they don't do it because they like them like me, but because that's all they have, trust me when i tell you that if you offended a stranger in the streets either a kilo of beef or a kilo of crickets, they'll take the beef 99.99% of the time. Globalists push this and many more excuses to IMPOSE the bugs and demonize meat, in a better timeline they would show bugs as complements to meat, not replacements, which is what they're doing and why many people are understandably rejecting them, don't force people to eat something they don't want to, if they want to eat ze bugs then fine, if they don't then fine, people have the right to choose what they eat.
