Rapper DMX, whose real name was Earl Simmons, died yesterday following complications from a heart attack. The 50-year-old music star was widely reported to have been hospitalized for a drug overdose that induced the heart attack, but a female member of his family told MTO News that he did not take drugs prior to the heart attack. He did, however, receive a Covid vaccination days before.

I'm already starting to see people arguing about whether DMX deserves to be cancelled or if it's racist to do so. It's hilarious catch 22.

It reminds me of the episode of glenn martin dds where Glenn's mom starts dating a black guy and internally his daddy issues are fighting with his white guilt.

But instead it's political correctness vs white guilt.

Finally someone else watches that Michael Eisner-produced show. Made by the creator of Celebrity Deathmatch. Without Glenn Martin, BoJack Horseman wouldn't exist.
 
Was never much of a fan of his party songs and the more violent stuff but when he got introspective he had a powerful way of expressing the shit he was going through. Especially as a recovering addict it was inspiring hearing a man talk about his trials and tribulations in such a blunt, honest and emotionally potent way. That's also what makes his death so sad. I was never huge into his stuff but I know a lot of people who found hope in his music and story. It's sad that it had to end this way.

First we lost DOOM, now the human guard dog. 2020/21 have not been good for hip hop bois.
 
Black drugee dude dies of overdose after being a vegetable for months after being an addict for decades. It would have been more surprising if he had lived.
 
It's almost like Chris Farley (except I actually wish Chris Farley was still alive)
