So if you haven't been following the news, Rodrigo Duterte, the President of the Philippines, is constantly stirring shit up. The biggest controversy about him by far is how he has repeatedly encouraged citizens to murder drug users (not even dealers, users). You see, the Philippines has a massive drug problem and drug addicts are despised for fueling the drug trade.

Just yesterday, a top UN official claimed said that Duterte should be investigated for murder, as he boasted that he had personally killed three suspected criminals. Today, Duterte responded to this statement... by threatening to raze the headquarters of the United Nations in New York City in response to those accusing him of human rights violations.

This is just a small sample of how crazy this dude is. I would not at all be surprised to learn that he himself does meth or snorts coke or something.

Duterte responds by ordering the Army to kill all of them and to destroy their legal political wings too.

Because the people in the Philippines are ultra catholic to the point they literally flog, stab and cruxify theirselves on Easter all in the image of Jesus' suffering for our sins.

Meanwhile here's Duterte not even opposing but openly mocking the catholic church, insulting the pope on national TV and telling his supporters to kill catholic priests in the street.

It's kinda hard to openly support your president while he's doing that when 1 in 3 Filipinos want to kill him solely for fucking with the church.

That said you think the polls are rigged? Out of the hundreds done the lowest he has gone is 48% though most reports cite 53% as his lowest figure, while at the very peak of his genocide crusade he was regularly polling ~90%.

Right now most people who disapprove of him say it's mainly because of the state of the economy and inflation, rather than because of his genocide which peaked while he was at 90%.

The thing is he is doing exactly what you would have to do fix a corrupt country run by cartels, literaly just kill them. You would have to do this for Mexico, Colombia, Venezula etc.
 
So, did they find any proof that this politician had connections to the drug lords (at least, outside of shooting at the cops like a dumbass?)
