fortunately you can disable all the eyecandy stuff in hyprland, and make it act pretty much like i3. (well depending on how you specifically use i3, I'm sure almost anything from it could be replicated in hyprland though it's one of the most flexible window managers/compositors I've tried)
The biggest hassle in my experience trying to set up an i3-like hyprland the last time I tried Wayland was getting window splits to follow i3's division style instead of bspwm's, but there's a plugin for that.
is the "normie" guy distrotube? I saw his video in my recommended videos. I didn't watch it. I've seen plenty of his stuff as a linux autist though. If it distrotube had anything worth seeing on it I'll check it out.
Yep; there's nothing that he adds to the discussion. The problem with Distrotube is that he doesn't like upsetting people so he tries to read a needle that really doesn't need to be threaded.
Eh, most modern libertarianism now is just "let people do what they want, as long as they don't hurt me" and they don't understand second or third degree side-effects/consquences. It has created this form of politic which looks almost indistinguishable from neo-liberalism.
Actually idk about that. I've seen him piss people off with his videos before. Actually quite a few times. He doesn't go out and say anything crazy. Definitely nothing people would even consider edgy by this sites standards. And he isn't a kike like Lunduke so he doesn't go the intentionally misrepresenting information to piss people off deliberately route like Lunduke. Instead he just tries to be overall reasonable, and level headed, while sticking to a fairly orthodox FOSS mindset. And that's enough to make open sourc MIT troons hate him. Like saying people should try not giving a fuck if someone else has a different opinion about some political issue because it's bad for your mental health, and dividing the open source community over it is bad for everyone. Or pointint out the bad faith actors trying to subvert open source with the ""Ethical source"" movement. Saying people shouldn't doom scroll, because again it's bad for your metnal health. All things that probably shouldn't have been controversial, and I would say they were all objectively correct. But it's still enough to make trannies act like he's saying TTD or something.

Anyone who have watched american libertarian party conference. The "i want faggots to grow weed and defend it with their machineguns" "people" have been majority of libertarians especially in the 2000 and they are still ones that run the american libertarian party. While there always been sensible people in that movement like Hoppe, Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell etc however it have been completley infiltrated by degenerates. Infact the only libertarian movement that i am aware of that haven't meet that fate is polish one however only because it since its inception was cult of Korwin.
And they have no idea how much this is damaging on the long run. While "authoritarianism" one can feel the effects at the moment, "libertine freedom" you usually get secondary or tertiary effects and people turn a blind eye.
