I only found this thread because @Ferryman and @prollyanotherlurker mentioned Drew as the maintainer of Sway over in the Linux thread.

Drew DeVault has single handedly put me off of using or recommending Wayland for the foreseeable future. When I do consider it again, I'll definitely look into Hyprland rather than Sway. Even though I've use i3 for years, and generally prefer software written in C.

Drew is a boil on the back of Open Source software, and I am glad to know to avoid his retardation. He definitely strikes me as a person who spends too much time online rather than with those around him.

fortunately you can disable all the eyecandy stuff in hyprland, and make it act pretty much like i3. (well depending on how you specifically use i3, I'm sure almost anything from it could be replicated in hyprland though it's one of the most flexible window managers/compositors I've tried)

The biggest hassle in my experience trying to set up an i3-like hyprland the last time I tried Wayland was getting window splits to follow i3's division style instead of bspwm's, but there's a plugin for that.

YT recommended me a response to this video from a normie linux "youtube guy" concerning this video. It's good to see more eyes on these men.
There are a few honorable mentions as well throughout the video like GitHub's host, Microsoft (little company, probably never heard of it) has a policy which encourages gender-affirming care for children as young as 3 years old. It's a Lunduke video so he jumps around quite a bit.

Disturbingly there are a lot of retards in the comments which seem to conflate this video with an attack specifically against open-source or the idea that Lunduke is supportive of the age-verification push, which i don't know about you but it sounds like a cope. Seems like a good number of viewers are still so mind-raped by their neo-liberal idealist version of "libertarianism" that they can't bring themselves to shit on pedophiles.
Surely many good things will come out of this and the FOSS community won't relentlessly defend the most repugnant of our species.. definitely not.

is the "normie" guy distrotube? I saw his video in my recommended videos. I didn't watch it. I've seen plenty of his stuff as a linux autist though. If it distrotube had anything worth seeing on it I'll check it out.

also cmon the neo-liberal progressive types probably think actual libertarians are nazi's what these faggots believe I wouldn't even call a bastardized version of libertarianism. They believe what the cathedral has convinced them is the right thing to think about X subject, and that's that. A lot of them would probably say they are "communists" or "anarchists" if you asked them what they were.
