I've seen people say Beastmaster, but I think with the Pawn System it'd be a bit pointless outside of the spectacle of having a wolf or saurian or whatever helping you.
You tame the furry people as an Overlord-esque class where you send them out as cannon fodder while you get shit done.
Plus if you could have Beastmaster Pawns there'd be like 8 allies swarming over each other and that would be ridiculous lol.
Just make it a hybrid class. If I remember right Pawns couldn't be hybrid classes.

Trickster is gonna be the "Now that I know how the AI works, I'm gonna do the funniest thing" class for youttube. I'm hoping we see more the hands on class soon.

Can we get some gameplay by people who aren't God fucking awful at videogames?

It's hard to properly judge the gameplay/mechanics when the guy playing is either really incompetent or has Parkinsons.

The best part of the first game was just fucking off to do your own thing and finding a dragon in the woods or whatever. Glad to see that's still being preserved here. Having the Sphinx actually give you riddles is awesome. I wonder if the Sphinx will have a tougher variant based on the Manticore, sort of like the Griffon and the Cockatrice.

Also, I know that it's probably for ratings or whatever, but I really wish they would have given the "feminine" monsters nipples. Their breasts look so fucking weird without them. The Harpies in the first game were the same way, but they did a good job of keeping their breasts hidden most of the time with their animations, so it wasn't something you'd notice unless you were really looking for it. The Sphinx has her textureless fleshbags right out in the open for you to look at and it's weird.

That video certainly hyped me up for the game more than the last few. Lots of hidden stuff to find is what makes an open-world game enjoyable to explore. I hope they took note from Elden Ring and put a lot of work into adding lots of cool shit to find in the world to make exploration feel really rewarding.

Very brief showcase of the character creator. As most people predicted, they call selecting your race/gender "body type". I almost wonder if this is mandated anymore. Still, they at least avoid the "Type 1/Type 2" nonsense by having it be a visual selector. Best of all, despite concerns, the titty slider is still in. Overall, looks to be a worthy successor to the original creator.

One thing that made me smile is that they were apparently originally going to simplify the creator but the devs said "fuck that" and made it much deeper.

[I apologize for not archiving, I'm a retarded boomer.]

Still kind of disappointed Capcom didn't included a way to share designs cause God knows I can't create shit (while every one else online will do amazing things).
Every in-depth character creator needs this. It can't be hard to make a export-as-code system.

The problem with doing that is sanity checking.

For example, say the boob scaling or whatever variable is just a simple floating point number. Now imagine that there's no real bounds checking on it. Now imagine that you can therefore make a pawn with boobs so big they blot out the area. Finally, imagine that spread and was easily replicable.

Things like that. It's just asking for some kind of bullshit to happen. While programmers are notorious for these kinds of mistakes, Japanese programmers are in their own league of bad decisions of that kind.

Nah, make it a soft DRM and have it be like Tower of Fantasy/Black Desert Online did: Connect to the Pawn Service online and be able to see what other people upload either through a search or UserCode which allows you to download a character to mess with yourself. Players are gonna connect any way to use Pawn System, why not use it to share creations?

Need for Speed: Heat literally did this with the vinyl wraps/paint designs people could put on their cars. Want to drive a knockoff of the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazard? Just look it up and slap it on your car. Its what I did.

Why use someone else's creation with slight tweaks of your own? Just be creative and make your own pawns. It's really not hard and itll look better than what the average pawn youll ever come across will look like. And failing any sort of creativity of your own, just look up character sliders. There'll be thousands of youtube videos and a reddit sub for it just like the first game. Or just post your shit here.

It's like you guys forgot how fucking awful the vast majority of pawns looked in the first game because the vast majority of players were fucking retards with zero creativity who just went with low effort meme shit, generic setting with the largest tit size or lolibait. Fuck the vast majority didn't even at least have good fashion to make up for the shitty look of the pawn itself. It was always either the full body armor like Julien, the princess set, festy or the ugly as fuck BitterBlack gear. No theme to the armor, no role-play centric gear. Just whatever was the easiest or most meta.

You're all vastly over estimating the creativity of the average player. Any half decent looking pawn will have sliders available somewhere on the net.

Fuck recruitable pawns anyway. My DD playthroughs are always between just me and my main pawn. Only recruit those from friends in case i *really* need an extra pair of hands

Watching the Sphinx clip and im so fucking hyped. An area that's really underappreciated in DD is that it does some effective Horror sometimes, some of the monsters you face looked almost Resident Evilesque
