Fuck recruitable pawns anyway. My DD playthroughs are always between just me and my main pawn. Only recruit those from friends in case i *really* need an extra pair of hands
From as far back as the OG Vanilla release on 360/Ps3 to the modern re-release of DA, I just made alt accounts and created my own extra pawns if ever wanted a full team. Much easier to have an actually effective team that way. Especially with how fucking finicky the inclination system was. Not to mention how absolutely swanky they all looked. And what's funny is every single one of those accounts was swimming in RC and high ratings because my pawns were being rented constantly. Was always fun resting and seeing my pawns return with hundreds of thousands of RC and 5 stars across the board, even if there was fucking nothing to actually use the shit for :story:

Ive thought about doing the same, but how big of a pain is it to play multiple accounts just to level up??

It's not too bad, assuming you know what you're doing and have a very set goal for how you wanna build. The most tedious part, because its not quite painful, is getting inclinations right, but even that's not too difficult now since we've got like 10 years worth of info on how it all works and what they all do.

This is assuming you aren't too concerned with meta BBI shit. If you are, then the pain increases exponentially because of the RNG nature of the purifications based on what class you and your main pawn are. There's some save scummy-esque ways of getting what you want sorta reliably, but I never got that autistic with the extra pawns or my main as far as Isle was concerned. Mostly because the fashion sucked and was 3edgy5me. Thankfully there's plenty of guides and fucking spreadsheets detailing all that though, if that's what you want.

Don't care about meta at all, i'm a guy that has Warrior as his favorite class and didn't realize different classes leveled up different attributes until my second playthrough lol

I like some roleplaying aspect to my DD, so armor and weapons are mostly just for cosmetics. That said, i'll def try to have an entire self made party with me for DD2.

Synth man pointed in his video that the combat in the original had a pseudo anime style with how exaggerated and over the top the animations were and the new combat looks a lot less cinematic and flashy with how much more precise and realistic the animations are.

I didn't think so at first but I rewatched some of the footage and he's right, it definitely looks different, I'll have to wait and see if it feels different too.

Warmonger or whatever is a fucking weird idea for a class and I won't be using it, but hey, go for it.
Don’t like still having 1 save file, but that’s a petty complaint.

This is probably (next to Monster Hunter Wilds) the game I’m currently looking forward to most. It sounds like the devs finally got to make the game they wanted in the first place.
That's probably why I'm most excited about it, you can tell from interviews and shit that the devs are really in love with this idea and DD2 is the game they really wanted 1 to be.

I like everything I see but then I see this image

Did....did they lock the framerate to 30 fps? That is some steep ass requirements for 2K 30fps.

Please understand, you need to have room for the DRM.

I don't really care about performance as long as it doesn't run like dogshit but even I think this is BS. I know it's no fault of the devs themselves but I'd like to wish Capcom a very nice "die on a pike while the crows peck at your eyes".

Here's the requirements listed on steam that they put out a few months ago:

The minimum lines up, but the recommended does not. Idk how they go from 4k/30 to 1080/30 on the same hardware. Maybe this is an adjustment from the added DRM or some stupid new particle effect? I haven't played the recent RE games. Does the DRM really drag it down that much? Supposedly some of the PS5 footage was running at 60fps, so I doubt they've capped it.

Not like I need another reason to not pre-order new games.

Anyone got a text mockup of whats been revealed so far?
Gamer voice faggotry makes me want to bully the narrator.

All I know is 3 weapn switching, some unarmed animations, and furries

-Warfarer can switch between (probably) 3 different weapons but has lower stats to compensate for versatility
-Every(?) vocation has a Meister whom you can befriend for various rewards related to that vocation, some vocations can only be learned from these people (probably those outside of the basic Red/Blue/Green/Yellow set)
-Offhandedly mentioned a new settlement, a fortress town
-Pawns can be afflicted with "Dragonplague" that makes them stronger and bolder but at some point reaches a critical state and something bad happens (on a guess from what we've seen, said pawn transforms into a shadowy dragon that you probably have to kill to get the pawn back)

I might be forgetting something but that's the important stuff.

There's a lot of new footage and information in the IGN 10 hour preview:
-Quest lines are tied to individual quest givers, the black guy in the thumbnail is the quest giver for the main quest(in the portion they played)
-You can switch vocations freely once you've unlocked them
-You unlock vocations by doing a quest for the vocation master
-Vocations level separately(its unclear if this affects all stats or only those that are vocation specific)
-Pawns can point out quest locations and pawns can point out shortcuts if they already did them with their main arisen
-They played Thief, Fighter, Warrior, and Trickster. New gameplay footage
-Thief is the only class with a dedicated dodge ability(so far), Fighter has a stun/execution move
-Devs put an emphasis on travelling long distances, fast travel is sparce and expensive, compared it to going to a nicer restaurant further from where you live.
-IGN journos compared the open world to BotW and Elden Ring where you fill in the map by exploring rather than quest markers telling you where things are
-Your maximum health cap can be temporarily decreased until you do a 'long rest' at a camp or town.
-Quests are "organic", you get quests from talking to unmarked NPCs and characters bumping into you, some story moments are scripted to seem like random occurrences
-No manual saves in the game, the game autosaves to keep you from savescumming different outcomes(ex: you're stuck with the answers you give to the Sphinx)

I hope we get a food system like monhun then if they're doing long travel shit.

I wanna see some of that good cooking cutscenes.

Another vid going over everything that's been revealed (or leaked) over the past month:

Among the things revealed that may have been overlooked in the flurry of information:

  • Apparently, the Warrior vocation got a substantial buff, to the point of being able to one shot certain larger enemies. This was in direct response to the fact that many players complained in the first game that the Warrior wasn't really a viable class due to how much of a one trick pony it was (it was so weak, that its jumping attack was literally its best form of offense). As a trade off, the class will be harder to use than it was in the first game. It wasn't the only vocation to get changes, but its changes in particular seem to be substantial.
  • There will be no quest boards or quest markers over the heads of NPCs you need to talk to. Your pawns will be your primary guide on where to go and who to speak with, and the interface is very minimalistic overall.
  • The world map is indeed 4x the size of the previous game, but is quite dense with NPCs and the like.
  • Enemy NPCs you don't kill will potentially chase you down for revenge. The example given was of a Griffin, which the IGN team had at least 2 different fights with because it flew away instead of them finishing it, and later ambushed them at their campsite at night.
  • Healing items will not heal over the previously mentioned HP cap, but can also be used instantly.

I'd really like if they implemented the things that got cut from 1. The size of the map sounds promising for bringing back the areas that didn't make the cut, the moon and tower that expands through parallel worlds are my main hopes even if they're too out there. There was also some sort of Giant that was chained up in ruins that looked real neat from the concept art.
