I (attempted) making Sephiroth.

Instead of Sephiroth, it's more like he has a beef with Harry Potter. Needs more work
I frankly don't believe this whole "there are only ten classes" bullshit. It actually doesn't make sense. The classes revealed up to this point don't make sense with the pre-established coloring system, and it would fuck with the whole "basic, advanced, hybrid" system that they've clearly maintained. Thief and archer still don't have revealed advanced classes, there is room for far more hybrids, and its still uncertain what a trickster is supposed to be a hybrid of. Either the supposed interview where they said this was mistranslated, or they are straight up lying to us. My guess is, they meant that they would only reveal ten classes prior to launch, but will leave the others for the players to discover.
I'm also chugging mugs of Hopium on this, otherwise the color scheme triggered my almonds for nothing.
This is legitimately disappointing. The original game was the only game I've seen that actually took character size into account when it came to mechanics, and that was such a cool aspect of its design. To see them move away from that feels like a letdown. And speaking of letdowns...
If I had to hazard a guess, it's that they didn't want to deal with the loli issues that would inevitably pop up. Even if one could argue that a size slider would work to create other fantasy races like dwarfs, gnomes, hobbits, goblins and whatnot.
Even if it doesn't affect me (as you can see from what I've posted, my ideal is thicc, tall and athletic) having less options due to modern sensibilities is never a good thing.
Okay, this is bullshit. There is just straight up no reason to remove this. This means you will actually have less options and less ways to customize your character and can no longer layer armor and clothing. While there might be lots of choices (press X to doubt), that's less customizability and defense for no reason.
Here's the article question and answer. Make of it what you will.
Thick af built like a female speed skater.
There's a character in the trailer, that made me realize a couple of things
1. japs are based for sticking with the old conan-esque fantasy style (minimal clothing and ripped bodies, for both sexes)
2. making my pawn a warrior for that sweet, sweet barbarian drip is incredibly fucking tempting
New gameplay vid up, haven't seen it posted yet
It looks okay i guess. Twinblades are gay as fuck weapons. A lot of framerate dropping as well but that's to be expected given it's console footage.
I'm just not hype at all. Nothing about this looks like it's worth $70 especially since DD1, while very soulful and I like it, is not a high production value product either.
Fair enough.
I plan to wait until it releases and check how it works on PC, before I make my mind to buy or not.
Having 30 fps in a modern title and poor optimization is a deal breaker for me.
From what I've been able to dig up it looks like there is only 4 equipment slots: head, cloak, upper body, lower body; thats down from about 7 slots(head, arms, 2chest, 2legs, cloak)in the first game. Thats going to really limit player customization both for stats and fashion, and outside of laziness I can't think of a really good reason for this change. Unless they add some kind of customization to gear stats on top of the normal upgrades it'll be a major downgrade. They also haven't put much effort into showing off how they made up for limiting the player/pawns from having 6 skills down to maybe 3-4 which also has me concerned.
I'm starting to get that negging feeling that the devs aren't releasing alot of info not because they want players to discover on their own, but because they don't want players to see how much of a step back this is compared to the first game. As always never preorder, we've waited 10+ years for this we can wait a week or two more.
Yeah, that's my understanding as well. Basically gloves are fused with chest armor and boots are fused with pants. A weird choice, not having gloves and boots slots, but I will wait until I pass final judgement.
I'm not sure about customization for the aesthetics, but apparently there's 3 slots for your gear to add improvements to it. But that's just for stats, nothing has been said about the fashion.
And yeah, I never planned to pre-order. I'll check the steam forums for any possible shit storms.
