Sounds like bullshit to me.11 S sold pretty badly on the switch, especially since it needed a shitload of work to port over and pretty much took the development time of a real game to finish. It was a heavily promoted game too. In comparison Final Fantasy 7 remake was promoted around a similar timeframe and sold way more. This was also reinforced when 11 S made it to other platforms and had somewhat better sales, however many people were turned off to it being called the definitive edition when on the PC and PS4 the downgrade was noticeable. So OG 11 still wound up beating the S version in the end.
It's the entire reason why the west didn't get the Switch ports of 1-3 in physical format was due to 11's poor sales on the switch and why both of the Dragon Quest builders games had very low print runs on the switch as well.
Kinda sucks but oh well. It'll be a while before we see another DQ 8/9 level success in the west again.
I just want a fixed DQ4 with party talk implemented. Is the mobile edition really gonna be the best way? I tried looking for info on possible hacks for implementing party talk to the DS version but it's like people just abandoned the project due to being insanely tedious/difficult.
And the mobile version currently has a gamebreaking bug where it crashes if you use Torneko's appraise skill. ffs.
Good thing DQ7-8 3DS versions are easily emulatable and I would have bought physical copies but the fucking price has skyrocketed in the last few months.
