I wonder what's the cause. Do Western comics sell so poorly or are Western comic artists bound by slavish contracts that pay them barely enough to not starve?
Yes and yes; Archie's sonic the hedgehog comic was considered to be doing very well at 20k per issue and that wasnt even 10% of Shonen Jump's english version. As for payment the industry is explicitly designed to jew employees at every opportunity since before superman was invented. It's chinese sweatshop work, just with pens and in nyc.

Does Bulma mean nothing to you?
Bulma and Vegeta literally deserve each other, and she's more of an exasperated wifeboss than a tard-wrangler since she knows she can't always keep a leash on Vegeta once he gets something in his head. He's just more willing to put up with her nagging afterwards probably because the sex is just that good since he's a prince and married back into money and status.

Beerus makes threats because he knows he has the power, but his pride is aware his ass is grass because Whis can deal a hell of a punishment on him that sticks. I wish we would actually see that happen on-screen, honestly, but the implications alone I think is funny.

Beerus is so quick to push people who are weaker than he is around, but he's terrified when his superiors are in the same room. Contrast his behavior with Whis, who is perfectly civil around his lessers and calmly deferential around his betters. For all his immense power, Beerus is just a bully.

He's nice to Earth, which makes it easy to forget he once destroyed half a planet, probably killing millions of people, because he didn't like the food. He's no better than Frieza. Just spoilt overgrown children, the pair of them.

Introducing the upper echelons of godhood was a mistake. You have the Supreme Kais, who are useless, and the Gods of Destruction, who are bullies, cowards or manchilden or some combination of the three.

Weird, I wonder why they'd ask him, it wouldn't be a canon answer anyway.

In fact, I doubt even Toriyama keeps track of scaling these days, it even looked like he checked out of that by the end of Z, which was a bit of a mess in that regard.
He forgot SSJ2 even existed.

He's been checked out since Z ended and he's just cashing royalty checks.

Ok props where props are due, Pan looks adorable and the panel flow of the whole sequence is a hell of a lot better than what Toyotaro normally draws.

He's a cranky dipshit in a series that already has Vegeta and (to a lesser extent) Piccolo. Did we really need another one?
Beerus actually has fun though, and results in him doing funny stuff and having less predictable results when interacting with other characters. Vegeta doesn't have an off switch, if he was a real person he'd be unbearable.

Piccolo is pretty much Vegeta lite though, that's pretty much always been true, but he's so much more mellowed out than Vegeta that he doesn't even seem that cranky anymore except when he has a reason, like Gohan slacking off, otherwise stern or stoic might be accurate for him.

That's a pretty nice page. Once this Cell Max arc is over I'll catch up, it's good to see they're changing things a bit too as usual.

About Masako Nozawa voicing Goku forever, I could see Megumi Ogata or Rica Matsumoto taking her place if the inevitable happens; depending if Toriyama-san would continue to milk Dragon Ball.

I've heard rumors Rica Matsumoto may be retiring, which is why the Pokémon anime ended Ash's journey. Even so, I don't believe she has any contracts with Toei, so I dunno why she'd be considered to be Goku outside of similar voices.

She does and Goku is just mute from now on.
No, wait, they just have word bubbles appear just for Goku, everyone else is voiced normally.

I could see Bubbles as Goku making ape voices tbh

@Kari Kamiya
So that’s what really happened to Ash, not sure how long the new protags will hold up now that the og MC is retired. In a similar vain, Akiko Yajima who was the og voice for Shin-Chan retired back in 2018 but they got a new voice to fill in that role. Rumor has it that Kotono Mitsuishi was retiring from voicing Usagi but that may not be true since Sailor Moon pretty much ended with the Shadow Galactica movies, right?

Why does this look like it's from a PS2 game? I thought the Super Dragon Ball Heroes episodes were like the anime. At least those were the clips I saw awhile back.
The Heroes staff, lead by Yamamuro, that was doing the animations is taking a break, so this new ''Meteor mission'' episodes will all be video game quality.

Toriyama became a multi-millionaire by drawing a brain damaged monkey slap people
Its funny that he was a millionaire even before he started working on Dragon Ball.
