Well, god damn, if this isn't proof you're a woman thinking 20 pounds being carried on your hips (and it should be if the breastplate is designed properly since it should only go down to about mid-waist with tassets as protection for the lower belly and pelvic area) is a ton of weight that will slow you down to a crawl.

Unsurprisingly armor was designed to be ergonomic and easy to move in for the simple reason combat is fucking exhausting.

If women were actual field combatants, we would see so much extravagant and attention whoring armor, it would make what we see in games look as modest as a nun's outfit.

It was confirmed by most historians that the armor that we think of, the ones that knights wear in fantasy genre and in King Arthur stories, were actually ceremonial in nature. Metals were rare and expensive back then, so these were given out by the king to his favored minions, or commissioned by wealthy noblemen as a status symbol. Hence, they were worn at court or at parades rather than in the battlefield. That's why there were so many impractical decorative features like codpieces, feathers, and other stuff that would normally make the wearer a slow, glowing target.

Actual soldiers back then had to make do with whatever their more meager allowances would allow, so the armors were poorer in quality, usually, and made up of whatever they could get their hands on. That's also why several kings in England had been bankrupt by wars. Waging one, and arming your men with at least okay quality armor and weapons to secure wins, do not come cheap.

Yeah, having pimped-out armor was a way of showing off how unbelievably rich you are, no different from a modern-day rich asshole buying the latest "production" car that's one of a handmade series of 20. But even relative poorfags still tried to look their best within their means (see the Landsknecht above). It may not have been as expensive as metal plate, but fabric was still pretty fucking costly relative to the average income.

Frost line isn't that bad, winters grasp is fairly good damage and can slow or even freeze enemies, cone of cold is a very good CC and freeze spell that also has good damage and is the best option for setting up shatter. Blizzard and the enchant are pretty bad.

Oh yes. My problem was every enemy being extremely resistant to it in the next two areas I went to.

Yea. There are some actual skills, but then there's 90% filler of: "Deal 15% more damage to all enemies within 10 meters." times like 50 different ones.

No woman would be doing anything near physical attacking since the weakest of men can absolutely body even trained female fighters. Ever tried arm wrestling your brother or male cousin after the age of like 13? A single woman attempting to "adventure" would be constantly at risk of being raped and/or otherwise assaulted to death, just go to India to see what that's like. And actual, historical bows need immense physical strength to wield so ignore those ranger fantasies too. There's a reason poisons, assassination and specialist weapons like the naginata were associated with women. They needed every advantage they could get to compensate.

On that note, an insider within Bioware did say that the work environment is a mirror image of the one in Firewalk Studios before Sony shuttered them.
