Guy above me gets it.

In Baldur's Gate 3 and many many other rpgs if you're playing a Paladin and you sympathize with a necromancer, say you agree with a necromancer, or even not immediately smite them for being Godless heathens your oath is getting broken.

This is probably the only rpg I've ever seen where necromancy is portrayed as some cutsey quirky chungus thing and not a horrifying affront to God and life itself.
In BG3, siding with the grieving, pregnant widow in her quest to get her husband back- probably the most sympathetic use of necromancy possible- is still an oath break.

+1 to the trannies at bioware for releasing a game who will run on the hardware that they developed the fucking game in. the faggots at cdpr should learn a thing or two from them

The game is Baldur's Gate 3 and that's my character killing another character (troon) voiced by this troon.
How in the actual fuck did Phagosophytroon get so many high-profile roles, and people apparently playing his videos in universities? He's a completely irrelevant youtuber.
Well at least I know that I will not be paying for BG3 now.

Minimum Requirements
  • OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 3 3300X* (see notes)
  • Memory: 16GB
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 970/1650 / AMD Radeon R9 290X
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 100GB available space
  • Additional Notes:
  • SSD Preferred, HDD Supported; AMD CPUs on Windows 11 require AGESA V2 1.2.0.7
Is this what passes as "surprisingly lightly" nowadays? 16GB RAM is the minimum, although that's common nowadays, it's still a huge amount. CPU requirement is schizo. The only thing that isn't is the GPU req, which is not unexpected. I used to play all my games on a 2008 GPU with 1GB VRAM and they usually ran fine at lower settings.
100GB on an SSD is nuts, even on an HDD it's bad. Can't they give you some customization with install, so you don't have to have 60GB of 4K textures that you can't even use? NWN let you do that.

Plus, that is just "minimum", who knows how shit that will actually be. Then you look at the recommended and it's the most modern expensive shite you can buy.

I think his father is some kind of an an industryfag. Don't take my word for it though, I'm not familiar with his bullshit.

I don't think the game looks particularly good to begin with, 4k turbo HD textures be damned. At this point, I expect less from Bioware than from Bethesda.

Mega bonus points to Bioware if they release this game on the PS4.
Considering how there's still games releasing for last-gen hardware this far into the Current Gen life cycle, they just might - Current Gen I don't think has the numbers to make back whatever budget they had, and with system requirements being as actually reasonable as they are, its not completely impossible.

Will it keep the game from bombing, fuck no - if anything it's get treated like Inquisition on PS3 where I don't think it had any of the DLC's

I hope they release it on PS4 as a fuck you to Sony. You're right about numbers as well; 100 million PS4 owners 60 million (at best) PS5 owners.

I'll be honest, if the game looks, and runs, as smoothly as the trailer shows and does so on a GTX 970, I'll buy a copy of Failguard just to promote the practices of optimisation and aiming for sensible spec requirements.

If tranny devs, through inability to create good-look games at higher resolutions and more complex graphical interactions, are the cause of the AAA market crash, that would be peak clown-world hilarity.

From BioWare, the software developer that never met a bug it didn't like? Come on, man!

I know but the specs speak for themselves. I'll see what it looks like at launch but it's not an ugly game technically, just aesthetically. If that's running on a 970 then credit where credit is due.

I'll call the useless cunts, useless when it's deserved, and i'll praise them where it's due.

I feel like we're getting ahead of ourselves praising Bioware.

Just because it requires relatively low specs doesn't mean the technical state of the game is guarantee to be good. It could launch totally broken running at 15 fps.

Yeah, I think they lost the benefit of the doubt when Anthem started bricking XBoxes.

You know, things like this make me glad that my backlog is so large. I still haven't beaten New Vegas, Fallout, or Icewind Dale. I still haven't touched Tears of the Kingdom. I can still get some mileage out of Cyberpunk, Mass Effect or DA:O. I'm good for now.

He comes from money duh. Only reason he can be a commie in the first place is because mommy and daddy are founding his life style.

Cheapskates couldn't afford ContraPoints.

He plays the merchant for an evil brainwashing cult.
It's basically a hidden cameo that you actively have to seek out to find, or an ultraminimised DEI box tick.

There's also a drag queen playing the conductor for an undead orchestra in an interdimensional freakshow, but (s)he suits the role well.
I still haven't beaten New Vegas,
Good choice, it is a great game
So hard to resist saying "Degenerates like you belong on a cross"

I added the caveat that if the game runs smooth and looks good at those specs. I expect neither but this is clownworld and I'm optimistic that the trannies at bioware will luck upon some technical achievements through incompetence, rather than anything else.

"We can't program this game on better hardware, best make it run buttery smooth on old shit instead".

Or maybe they traded their modern dev kits in for money, bought a PoS old PC and spent the rest on dilation.

Way better to take your time with New Vegas and Fallout anyway!

It's lower-spec because it was meant to be an online shooter, and lower specs mean people with shitty set-ups can still play online with their friends. WoW and Fortnite both have that similar kinda sorta pseudo-Disney-ish Glen Keane fantasy vibe because it will still retain its aesthetic on lower graphical settings.

"Yeah I know 2 was fucked and that Inquisition was a giant identity crisis made by people who didn't even understand their own game, let alone open worlds, but this time we might get lucky and get a good game! Look at the low specs! It's a possibility!" -The Battered Bioware Fan

The game will be terrible, but i fully support reducing the fucking retardedly high specs for games.
Look at DD2, it needed a supercomputer GPU to make it run at 25fps. Starfield is the same. Cyberpunk suffered the same problems. Sony are making cinematic walking sim movie games that run at 30fps on a £500 console. It's lunacy.

Fuck Bioware, but if useless trannies burn down the AAA market then thats a win

Agreed but none of that means fuck all in terms of games possibly, actually getting better. Least of all this one. Lower specs don't equate to better games.

Doesn't it? 10 years ago I would have agreed without thunking but this is a big thunk. Nintendo have had lower spec games for seven years of the switch and have made more profit, sold more units of hardware and had the highest rated games.
On the flip side, Microsoft and Sony are churning out 4k/RT cinematic games that take 5+ years to make and rarely break even.

Maybe it is a coincidence. I do believe that the next, best innovation for consoles would be to not innovate. The PS5pro is going to come out with the best console tech on the market, chances are it will sell like dog-shit. Switch 2 will come out with better specs than the Switch and sell gangbusters.

You're right about this one being DOA. I think the original Dreadwolf game that was shit-canned had potential to be good. Failguard looks too messy and incoherent to be a good RPG - let's face it, it's an action game.
