But is null still going to use the phrase in that funny cadence he used on his MATI streams? I always get a chuckle from that.
 
So how does this work? We all come together at the family table and vote on this or is this more or less an autistic version of the orgy scene from Eyes Wide Shut?

Unfortunately Fong Jonesing someone already carries some connotations related to consent accidents. I heard it's common for google employees to form support groups where they talk about being Fong Jonesd after a company dinner with a certain tech troon. :(
 
I opt for Trialing, I think its cool from a legal perspective as well. Probably a bit dumb but I like it, Im not a big fan of the alternatives provided.

Null (or anyone) formally deciding on a single phrase guarantees it won't catch on. Funny euphemisms like "jogger" don't catch on because the King of /pol/ decree it, but because it's inherently comical and hearing it makes people laugh.
 
Why not use a more specific word? Use a word for each method, or if you don't want to say what you did "undisclosed means" would be correct.
 
Where does doXXXing fit into this?

I also don't think anyone under the age of 30 knows what a phonebook is. Can we change it to googling or something more zoomer friendly since we are doing retard language now and they are the ones using the other terms?

That probably sounds like going to someones door and trying it to most people, which I'm sure journalists would be very happy to run with, so it probably isn't a good idea to use.
Harvesting or farming could work but are really farms-specific, so it may come across as forced if no where else uses it.
 
"Phonebooking" is in my opinion a great contender. Straight to the point, doesn't raise any eyebrows, and it just sounds cool.
Someone also said "Farming". I like that one.
