I'd suggest switching him to exclusively wet cat food twice a day on a consistent schedule and feed the other cat in another room until he gets his weight under control. I've only ever used wet cat food and a strict feeding schedule so my cat is never overweight. If anything she doesn't eat enough because she's a bit of a picky eater. In my unprofessional opinion you should avoid dry food whenever possible, it's loaded with carbs and highly processed.oh she knows exactly what she is doing

humongous chungus. planning on getting a microchip feeder for our other cat so he doesn't steal his food but that shit's like $60.
we do feed them wet food twice a day, the problem is ronin (the skinny) eats it more gradually while spider scarfs it all up. so locking one or the other in the room wouldn't workI'd suggest switching him to exclusively wet cat food twice a day on a consistent schedule and feed the other cat in another room until he gets his weight under control. My friend had this issue and took a large Tupperware bin, placed it upside down and cut a hole that only the small cat could fit through and placed its food in there.we do feed them wet food twice a day, the problem is ronin (the skinny) eats it more gradually while spider scarfs it all up. so locking one or the other in the room wouldn't work
they're too smart and determined for that (and their heads are roughly the same size)My friend had this issue and took a large Tupperware bin, placed it upside down and cut a hole that only the small cat could fit through and placed its food in there.
