I'm taking a pass on Revelations. I wasn't crazy about Eternal because I like more grounded combat (no spear or chain for me). So I fired up DOOM II mods and I'm having a great day.

I tried to get into Eternal but hated the platforming in that game. And I haven’t played Dark Ages yet.

Still feels weird that Doom 2016 is from a decade ago.

Doom Guy is canonically Flynn Taggart. The story is absolutely going to divide people as much as, if not moreso, than Eternal.

I never understood the need to create lore or even a story in Doom. I like 2016 because the first thing Doom Guy does when there's a bit of exposition is to punch the monitor. I wish The Dark Ages didn't have out-of-character cutscenes. Doom Guy is there to kill and punch the evil creatures, not listen to Debra Wilson.
