Oh boy, he set himself up to this. Depending on how Sonicfox handles this, it could go with how Perfect Legend dealt with a 13-0 set with Sonic where he lost all of them and could only come up with excuses, or he'll take the L this time.

But seeing as Sonic had decided to get a lot more rowdy and ballsy with his trash talk, this is a normal thing in the FGC that when the guy that talks too much is good and eventually loses, those against him will not let him live this loss down.

for being a pro he should have played more against other types of players besides the US ones. everyone knows asian players on a different meta type in every type of game they play.

He usually does, weirdly enough. Last fall, he was doing a bunch of tournaments in Asia for both DBFZ and a bit of SCV. Rather inconsistent though. Placed top 8 in a few, but also had really low placements of like 17th, and in the 20s and occasionally 40s.

I love the comments where they talk about how sure he was he'd win this. Apparently he said he had nothing to fear from the Japanese - the Japanese fear the gay furry - and that he hasn't touched the game religiously since the patch, which is a big mistake in any fucking eSport because shit changes fast. It's like turning gravity on and off for football, it basically becomes Blitzball.

I'm mainly waiting on baited breath as smash is so different then other fighters he played to the point where even as a person who has no idea of the deep mechanics fighting games have it would through him off. I mean from what I understand as well ultimate has more of a fast and kinetic style then smash 4 which if sonic fox wants to try mind games might fuck him up as you can't really stall as easily.

I have to find vids of him playing ultimate with one dude, but even then, SF is average at best in smash. On top of that, with how he present himself on twitter lately, smash player would be more than happy to tear that man apart in a game.

And yes, Ultimate is much more rewarding for aggressive playstyle compared to Sm4sh, so defensive plays are severely toned down. Even though there is that "Parry" mechanic added in ultimate to reward players with frame advatages, shield being much easier to break and dodging too much making the move worse with time discourage turtling.
