There's lesbians in it, but it's done less hamfisted than other games in my opinion. In Undertale it's kind of a side story if you choose to explore it, if I remember right. In other games it would be HEY LOOK, A LESBIAN! SEE THE LESBIAN? SHE'S GAY! SHE'S A GAY LESBIAN! ISN'T IT COOL THAT SHE EATS SNATCH?! BUT IT'S NOT JUST A SEX THING, SHE LOVES WOMEN! WOW, GO LGBT AM I RIGHT?!

I don’t think Undertale does, but there is at least one gay character in Deltarune.

They’re fun games, just don’t search them on Twitter if you value your sanity.

Ok are there mods that remove this? I remember searching for a mod that removed the romance that Greg had with the bear in NITW, but I was unable to find it (probably because Nexus would have nuked it).

I guess that I should just buy the Saudi Arabian localization of Undertale, then.

Just minimize your interactions with Alphys and Undyne if all else fails. Or pretend Alphys is a man, because I didn't realize it was supposed to be a girl for quite awhile.

You can also 'date' a skeleton man as what is supposed to be a child character, and their sex is meant to be unknown as to allow the player to project their identity onto them, so it could or could not be gay and pedophilic, a true double whammy. But date is in quotes because said skeleton is supposed to be an eternally oblivious, bumbling character and he probably doesn't even know what date means. Still weird as hell in retrospect and something that could have easily been cut from the game without loss.

Less hamfisted? Side story?
It's extremely contrived you need to do it to get the true ending. (Unless you count the *other* true ending ;})
It involves the most irritating character in the game going on a date with someone she has absolutely nothing in common with and has never visibly interacted with.
There isn't even any in-game evidence that they've spoken before, only Mettaton stating that Alphys has a crush on Undyne. It's not even implied that they're friends.
I didn't even think about this before but Alphys lives in an environment that is shown to be physically dangerous to Undyne so they'd likely only have met at formal royal events.
The only reason that Alphys's relationship holds up is because she's a woman. If she was a man (as originally in Toby's sketches) her relationship would openly be ridiculous wish fulfilment. Actually, the rest of her character hinges on this too. That's how she gets away with being really fucking irritating.
