Does anyone else squirt out a little bit of mustard or ketchup on a plate/in the sink before putting it on something to avoid getting that nasty dry condiment crust on your delicious food or am I a total mental case?
 
I buy packets of ketchup and mustard like a total autist. Not only is the risk of separation minimized (but not completely gone), you’re able to control the amount of the condiment you’re using instead of producing a wasteful mound.
 
I clean the bottle, shake it, and presquirt if it's something cheap like Basic Yellow and Basic Red.
 
I practice my tongue skills on the sriacha nozzle after squirting, that way. I keep the damn sauce for myself.
