Greetings, salutations, it has been a hot minute since I've been in here.

I was thinking of getting this game, but...After seeing some of the issues that this thread talked about that the press/normies didn't mention, now I'm not sure I wanna spend money on it.

Sigh, between this and Code Vein II, that's two bullets I've dodged lately...
Don't spend money on it then, i can confirm it's absolutely worth a look at with an eye patch though.

You could always just watch some faggot youtuber play it with no commentary and get roughly the same experience.
This. Honestly, the old Freedom Force games were better as, y'know, actual games.

It's not a terrible story though. Honestly, I can't help but think they'd have been better off pitching it as an animated project a la Legend of Vox Machina.

Like i said though i do think it's worth a "play", i probably spent at least 5 hours on it and i felt like i had an enjoyable time watching it play out. probably like a 7.5/10 "experience", but a 6/10 game.
It isn't a game.
You cannot fail it. There is no lose state. The game continues even if you fuck up.
Even your choices are automatically picked if you don't pick them. So the game won't sit there waiting for you to choose.
It is just a failed TV show with a schlock of game paint thrown on it. The minigames are shit you'd see in a mobile phone game.
Pull the right lever to rescue the princess instead of dropping lava on her.
Go left and right avoiding the -10 and picking up the +10 slop Etc...
Even if you fail those the game still proceeds with little to no change.

I had a lot of fun with the hero dispatching segments and hacking minigames but then again I'm autistic like that.

It does what it advertises itself as quite well. It's an interactive movie with a few minigames sprinkled in-between. I think it does a good job just being *that*

Yeah, if you yarr harr it it’s roughly okay. The first four episodes are pretty good, 5 and 6 are a horrible nosedive, then they bring it home to a 5/10 with a very generic milquetoast finale.

I thought it was great at first, but they introduce conflict in a very stupid and hamhanded way. That said the niggercattle it primarily targets didn’t seem to notice or care. You can tell they had no fucking clue how to write a superhero story. But then, most niggercattle are happy to consume product, soyjak face, get excited for next product, and they have SOME Schrodinger’s plot determinant justifications, I guess.

I’ll say this: This game would have been mid as fuck in the mid 10s and outright mediocre in the early 10s… But nowadays, mid is top. Gaming has gotten so horrible that this and Clair Obscure are legitimately the biggest two standouts of 2025. Turnbased jrpg slop and interactive story slop.

I think it says more about the state of the industry than anything else.

Dispatch is just this generations Telltalle The Walking Dead. Zoomers weren't around to remember that. Its the same "your choices matter and have consequences" when it really dosent.

King Nigger E;R apparently played this slop.

Not gonna lie, I'm not even surprised they dipped back onto their bad TellTale habits of choices not mattering. lol lmao even.

It never matters, unless the devs are super autistic (and development is super cheap), or are willing to burn any continuation of the setting to the ground then choices never have a real long term consequences.

I haven't played it, but I watched my dad play a bit of it and he eventually turned it off because "I'm not the right guy for this". I thought it was an alright experience from what I've seen of the game, but goddamn the writer of this game is probably a really big fan of Vivziepop's Hazbin Hotel because the writing just fucking stinks of inspiration from that show and that chick's awful dialogue. I'm also not really a huge fan of this edgy trend of morally gray or morally ambiguous cape shit a la The Boys or, to an extent, Watchmen. I already have a hatred of George R. R. Martin's edgy contrarian takes on escapism and I don't need to witness it here in a media form predominately marketed towards young children (comic books).

I cannot stomach this game's dialogue whatsoever; it's bad writing where the writers are curled up in a pretzel, praising themselves while sniffing their own farts with the loudest whiff possible. The best character is unironically Golem because he barely speaks.

Nigger do you not see the quotation marks? i am fully aware of what it is but it's still fun for what it is.

I didnt even consider it as a "game" from the begining and im still dissapointed. And i like interactive movie slop. At first it can pick your intrest but it gets worse and worse with every episode with the final catharsis of dog shit in last episode. And writers have no idea how to make a "mature" story, all they can do is to add more sex jokes and swearing for no reason at all. I have nothing against sex and dumb jokes but they crossed a line to the point where it feels like its some kind low budget "adult cartoon" where writers though that swearing and sex is what makes adult cartoon. I swear, cape-slop cartoons for kids from 90's have were more mature than this shit.

I never played this game but saw enough to decide “nah”

Also, am I the only one that fucking hates the invisigal bitch? This bitch touches and peeps on the main character in sexual ways almost constantly.
The most damning fact about her tho is she turns completely evil if you don’t baby her the whole way.

Anyone that likes invisigal or simps for her is either the same personality as her or is a coomer.

Things is that the devs want you to go for Invisigal. She's literaly the main character besides Robert and you can feel that this is the case from first 3 episodes. She has more content than BB and has her own hidden "trust" system which determines which ending you will get. Other than that BB is trying to cuck Phenomaman with you and thats a big no no.
