Twitter is predictably BIG MAD. Especially Black Twitter for some reason?
NONE OF YOU ARE EVEN HAWAIIAN, WHY ARE YOU OFFENDED?!
This reminds me of the last month before Frozen got kicked off broadway where they actually cast a black/latina woman to play Elsa and whitened her facial skin for the role. It was pretty damn obvious in some shots that she techincally was in "white face".
No. You're lying. There is no way.

...they're legit mocking us. I swear to God they're actually laughing at us. Do this, no one bats an eye. Do the same thing but in reverse, everyone loses their fucking minds. It's all so goddamn tiresome. *sigh*

Crazy isn't it? She bombed as a person playing Elsa so badly that it ended a month after she was cast. Covid of course didn't help matters.

To the girls credit, she was born on Hawaii and is supposedly half White, half Filipino/Hawaiian. Auli'i Cravalho, the girl who played Moana, has a similar racial makeup and nobody bat an eye when she was cast as a full Polynesian princess.
Also, the actress does look more ~ethnic~ in other photos.

Agudong is definitely a Filipino last name. They probably think not having a "Hawaiian" first/middle/last name and not "looking Hawaiian" = not Hawaiian. Hapas (mixed) of Filipino and/or Hawaiian descent are fairly common in Hawaii, despite whatever these clueless SJWs are whining about. You're not going to get a pureblood "100%" Hawaiian cause they hardly even exist nowadays.

I don’t give a shit about the film, but the fact that everyone who was defending black Ariel and calling anyone with a problem with it racist are now screaming and stamping their feet about “race swapping bad!” is just the best.

"but guys, it's about getting the best actor"
"it's fictional, so it's okay"

but our heckin trannerinos have to be played by trannies
and our hawaiians have to be played by someone darker than a paper bag

Dude, I am still pissed they are aiming at casting Zendaya as Moana. I forgot they cast a black woman as Snow White which is the most retarded shit I have heard btw. So many future "successful" films! Snow White is dead on arrival I did not even realize that it is being filmed, I forgot it even existed til Gundam mentioned it.

I despise Hawaii as a whole for sucking blue (D)ick, but when it comes to identity politics thank god we don't put up with this shit.

Hey, instead of having this retarded debate, how about we just....not remake the movie at all, because it doesn't need to be remade? What's that? You're still remaking it because you're creatively bankrupt assholes who can't come up with a good original idea to save your lives, so instead you recycle/destroy others' good ideas? Well then, 🖕

funny how the same people who go on about lived experiences are the same people who will disregard said lived experiences because "muh skin colors"

I'm sure I'll get :disagree: for even saying it, but the Muppets died with Jim Henson.
The 2011 movie was genuinely good, and Muppets Haunted Mansion was fun.

That’s it, though, not a single other thing they did in the last however many decades was worth noting, except for, possibly, the Queen cover.

Edit: Oh wait after Christmas Carol and Treasure Island, they immediately went downhill with In Space.
