Fucking cry, the problem is Disney is hemorrhaging so much money atm that the course is unsustainable. They still owe something like 50 billion for the FOX acquisition ffs, which is nearly a third of their net worth. They still owe money to Hulu too, they owe 9.3 billion to Comcast. Disney too only profited 23 billion (2022) their costs though keep rising last year's annual expenses/costs were 78 billion (up 15% from 2021)

They must owe so much for acquisition that at this point they cannot buy anymore because they acquire their debt. Experts and the public warned them of this though and the other issues their films keep bombing whilst merch sales etc decrease.

They best suck Larry Fink's dick harder cause they are boned otherwise.

Nothing like saying "fuck you, we side with teachers who want to talk to your 5-yr-old about buttsex" to loosen the parents' pursestrings. They should've thought twice before pushing all their chips in on pleasing vocal minorities on Twitter, because their majority customers are parents who want to take their kids to family-friendly entertainment and amusement parks. From what I've heard, the quality of their resorts have also plummeted because they cut the 3rd-party hospitality out of their parks assuming they could do a better job.

So what are the chances that Disney deletes the trailer, and re-uploads it? Or do they have the ability to disable dislikes, which is apparently a thing with YouTube videos now?
They have hidden dislikes all across youtube now. They claimed it was to help stop bullying creators, but creators can still see dislikes. It was really just so brand channels couldn't get ratio'd anymore, and they didn't want to make it optional because it'd be like locking comments, so they applied it across the board. But there's an add-on for chrome that restores the dislikes, so nothing really came of it.

Who the fuck cares this much about Mickey Mouse?! Is Mickey Mouse anyone's favorite Disney property? I could understand Goofy. It'd still be cringe Disney Adult behavior, but I could understand because Goofy is actually fun, but Mickey has no personality. His defining characteristic is he's a sterile mascot meant to be as inoffensive as possible.
I do love that Mickey is now starting to act in the same avaricious manner that Disney is as a company. "Hey kid, whadya want, a hug? You got a receipt?"
You forgot to add that smug "Ha-ha!".

Would it be a lot easier just to make it a YouTube kids video and not have to put up with those spam bot accounts making the millionth "I like the part when blank" comment. It wasn't funny the first time so why you think that it's funny now? Luckily I reported enough of them to get Disney's attention.

By no means I'm a fan of this movie but that doesn't mean to go and bespirch it for the few people that generally want to see it it might like this different take on the story.

You think I care about some billion dollar company calling me a racist for that liking it? I'm not one of these breadtuber Fandom Menacers that just tried to cover their hidden racism by pretending to fight for the little man.

Also that wouldn't even matter anymore especially when the next depression hits us hard later on this year.

You ever wonder why "Steamboat Willie" is never played on Disney Channel in regular rotation? You know despite being a landmark cartoon and something Disney uses as a logo for the animation studio. Because OG Mickey was a LITTLE SHIT and Pete The Cat should have beaten the asshole.

Look at how he abuses the poor animals to use them as instruments for "Turkey in the Straw." Mickey was straight up malicious.

I really have nothing to say, you're absolutely right Mickey was sterilized way long ago because Walt made him the mascot. But I do love the old Mickey Mouse shorts. The real classic Disney shorts along with their then rival Fleischer Brothers cartoons are so much fun to watch.

Unpopular Opinion: I actually hate Goofy well to be precise his dopey voice. My favorite Goofy cartoons is the Football short and the one where him, Mickey, and Donald are car mechanics. In both those cartoons he's thankfully mute.
Donald is the best and I really love his OG design with him looking way more like a Pekin Duck.

Dude you made me laugh harder than I've laughed in a long time reading this post of you being defensive towards Disney contrasted with your avatar of Pepe blowing a merchant's brains out. :lit:

Those aren't bots, they're retards posting memes.

>Awkwafina is Scuttle
>Why is she everywhere? She isn't funny
I missed that probably because Scuttle's species-change was so distracting. So Disney genderswapped another character like they did with Kaa in the live action Jungle Book. IIRC, the director, Jon Favreau, said he did that to have female representation. The irony in that is the live action version had way less screen time than the original.

I know, right? I was watching a bunch of them recently and was like "Wow... Mickey used to actually be cool." This is before you get to the cartoons that are fucked up in other ways like The Mad Scientist.

He also had a weird habit of starring in shockingly good 16-bit games (the Illusion series on Genesis and the Magical Quest series on SNES).

Always been more of a Donald fan myself though. I think my favorite cartoon with all three of them together is The Lonesome Ghosts.

..... Though the absolute best Disney character was Professor Ludwig Von Drake, but unfortunately he's obscure because most of his appearances were in a show called Wonderful World of Disney, which largely repackages existing material... and when it came time for DVD or digital re-releases, Disney often prefers the original (pre-Ludwig) versions, even in cases where Ludwig's addition legitimately improves the story. Meaning the poor professor is consigned to being just some guy who occasionally gets mentioned in duck media.

Thankfully some of his stuff got VHS and Laserdisc appearances back in the day and a lot of it has been preserved on the Internet Archive, and I happened to find it last night while looking for Disney pilot episodes.

Links-

Wonderful World of Disney Volume 3 - I feel like a lot of what's said in the "Ducking Disaster" episode is still relevant in this day and age. The "Reason and Emotion" bit has a scene of a man who goes nuts because of too much media input.... it almost feels like its talking about the terminally online, but of course it was made decades earlier.

Donald Duck Kids is Kids is on there twice. Which I was happy about as I had actually been searching for this one, as its a major case where Ludwig's presence improves the classic cartoons..

It's too bad they don't have the full series, or even just every episode that features Von Drake. I would legit pay money for a collection like that.

I gotta hand it to how Ludwig is inserted. Awhile back I was watching some similar repackagings of Looney Tunes shorts with similar newly-inserted wraparound stories... but when WB does it, you can always blatantly tell when something is a new addition and when something is from the classic era, the art shift is just so jarring. Ludwig though looks like he was always a part of these cartoons to the point where its more jarring to find out he wasn't.

I'm just saying that there's really nothing we could do to save Disney and really the best thing to do is to keep on failing until the company itself is sold off or finally collapses in itself. Everybody that keeps making reviews and heat watching is defeating the purpose of them make serious changes within the company.

It's just getting repetitive everytime one of these live action films comes out and geeks and gamers makes a million or so videos tearing it apart with the same talking points. Bad CGI, Twitter posts etc...

Wasn't Kaa female in the original Jungle Book story and Disney just made kaa male for the 1967 one?
