Disaster 'Dilbert' Creator Scott Adams Dead at 68

Cartoonist Scott Adams has died after a battle with prostate cancer.

Adams' first ex-wife, Shelly, revealed the news during a live stream on "Real Coffee with Scott Adams."

We broke the story ... Shelly told us just yesterday that Scott entered hospice and was receiving end-of-life care amid his rapidly declining health. She said nurses were going in and out of the home while she, her daughter and her sister were providing care as well.

Scott even recorded a podcast episode during which he acknowledged it may be his last ever ... which feels even more poignant now given his passing.

Scott was 68.

I think people responding negatively to that saga are just moralizing. Going through it/witnessing it can give you that doomer perspective. Put a lot of effort in, and people probably did, and find that people do not change unless they do it themselves. Many a family has driven itself to ruin trying to save someone who chose a destructive path, I'm glad the family tragedy I've experienced didn't involve watching people run themselves into the ground in slow motion. Well, mostly.
 
In memoriam, I'd like to suggest adding him as one of the forum emotes. That way we can make it easier to post this under articles of random assaults that conspicuously omit the race and demographics of the alleged perpetrator:

This is Orthodox content. Not Christian (Protestant/sola scriptura/sola fide). A protestant will tell you he made it to the finish line and his name will be written in heaven in the age to come while an orthodox will tell you no sanctification, no repentance, no church attendance or membership rank, no worship of Mary, no baptism = no heaven. It's bullshit.

RIP Scott, I sometimes hate that your comic is my daily life more often than not, but it made me laugh nonetheless.

In the largest and oldest groups of Christianity, the one founded by Christ and it's two direct and early offshoots; Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox, and Oriental Orthodox, the answer is firmly no. In protestant denominations, the answer is almost always yes. It's one of the major reasons (but not even close to top of the list) most protestantism is considered apostasy at best and heresy at worst by the majority of Christians on the planet.

Needs to be the drinking from a coffee cup one. That's the one people use when they want to talk about race everywhere else.
