First time I have ever seen Holy Shield on a scepter and its a grand scepter fml. I had to brag somewhere

Doesn't china have some sort of bans against Blizzard, or something like that? I seem to recall they're turning away from western markets.
Blizzard's Weibo (microblogging site) account was suspended after comments deemed to be anti-Chinese but the company can still operate in China and is generally pro-CCP: Blizzard suspended a well known Hearthstone player over there for endorsing the Hong Kong protestors and saying "Winnie the Pooh" on a Chinese Overwatch server is an instaban.

I sometimes wonder if Blizzard will ever decide to go full in on the chinese market and leave the western one high and dry. I doubt it would ever happen but companies have made stupid decisions before.

doubt it, although it would be hilarious if microsoft would just sell blizzard to some chink sweatshop so the devs can experience some real "communism".

The guy who used massive amounts of WoW gold to whale in Diablo Immortal, apparently got banned. I'm not sure if it was just his WoW account that got banned for that, or if it was his entire Battle.net account. Usually (I think), most bans in Blizzard games only affect the game that you were doing something against the ToS in, with the exception of chargebacks, which will result in the entire Battle.net account being banned, until the money deficit is rectified.

Just the WoW account got banned, funny he didn't upgrade to the latest expansion. He probably got banned for RMT activities.

Diablo IV monetization leaked (possibly):
skins, mounts, some kind of premium currency, season pass and early access

And despite all the moaning and crying it will be wildly successful making $100,000,000+. Chinkese monetization is here to stay and never going away since it has seen so much success in the west, this is the future you chose, now pay up you buck broken little Blizzard paypiggies.

You know, I really don't care if people pay retarded amounts for games and make things worse. At some point you have to accept personal responsibility and just not buy into this crap and if you want something different, search out more obscure games to enjoy that don't implement this crap. I'm sure there are plenty of indie devs who will be ecstatic when companies like Blizzard die and they can finally see some actual sales.

Basically, I'm just done clinging to IPs I enjoyed at some point, it's not worth it.

Guess I'll stick to Path of Exile, and continue hoping Last Epoch is worthwhile someday. Being a fan of ARPGs sucks almost as much as being a fan of Total Annihilation-style RTS. It sucks more if you want a true single player experience that can function when offline.

I hear ya on that, the only problem is when one group find wild success in something others quickly follow in hopes of recreating that success. Like the plague these money making practices will spread to other publishers. If governments don't crack down and bend over these greedy fucks you'll see most AAA games (including solely single player) with some form of micro-transaction shoehorned in. You could say we're already there but it can and will get worst. Keep your eye out for AA and indie games, they develop at a snails pace but there's some good to be found.
and I will die on the hill of "Single Player Games Should Not Need To Be Connected To The Internet Constantly To Function"

It was nice knowing you friend.

That will always be the case and no amount of regulation will ever fix it. I'm just fine finding other hobbies if all games turn to shit.
