D3's endgame design is actually good in the sense that everything you do is not a waste. When I was playing, I didn't think too much about grinding paragon because my focus was pushing Greater Rifts as high as I can. That levels up the paragon easily.
I like the skill system of D3 where you can have 5 variants (runes as they call it) of each active skill that features different utilities and effects. I actually prefer the D3 skill system than the D2's skill points tbh lol.

Making Diablo IV a never-ending game is not a bad idea at all. The better replay value, the more you get your money's worth.

Lol. So the whiners here got quiet when presented with facts. Check this video of sweet phil and read the comments too. You'd realize that these whiners are in the minority lol.
"You're wrong because the majority of players want the updates" doesn't change the fact that I disapprove of changes being made to Diablo 2 in general. Also, using a content creator's opinion and a YouTube video's comments as testimony to your case is pretty gay and not actually much of an argument.

On the other hand, @InwardsStink is equally as retarded because most people still experienced load times on OG D2 unless they had a decent hard drive, and the fact that it's a 20 year old game means nothing when it's running on a newer engine with graphical overhauls. Assets still need to be loaded in and such.

Ask yourself this: Are you still actively playing Diablo 3 if its endgame design is good enough to accommodate continued playability?

Do you think you'll still be actively playing Diablo 3 even after 2's updates, or even after 4 comes out? Will it be something that you're still going back to?

I'm not going to deny that the Greater Rift system and Paragon levels are neat time wasters, but that's all they are. Time wasters. I could reconcile with wasting my time on them when I was playing it on the Switch as a side thing, but it wasn't enough to keep me playing Diablo 3 long after I finished everything else about it.

LOL. Sweet Phil was actually against the changes as most of you guys here. But later he realized that many people actually welcome the changes because they want more endgame builds than the usual META and those who aren't are just the minority lol. Feedbacks matter lol that's why these changes are going to be made. People who don't listen and welcome other people's feedbacks are the absolute gays lmao!

Dude, I've played D3 since launch lol. I enjoyed the game but it doesn't mean I have to stay playing it for the rest of my life lol. I played D2R and I got bored because of the limited endgame builds my preferred heroes can play (paladin, amazon, druid). I wanted to play summon druid in hell but it's weak so im forced to play the Wind build, same case with my Hammerdin. Plus, I got tired doing the same runs. Logging in and out off the game is just draining.

Why wouldn't you keep playing Diablo 3 regularly if the endgame isn't a waste of time though? I mean, you did say it was good because that was the case. Surely it's good enough to keep going back to if its replayability is one of its strengths?

A never-ending game isn't a bad idea, right?

No one cares if your stand doesn't change lol. What the devs care about is the actual players' feedback and how they can keep the game fresh.

Lol. Because I have a life to attend to and have more important things to do other than gaming?? duh??

I'm not talking to the devs though. I'm whinging about it on the Farms. I've already written off nu-Blizzard as it is and your defense of them isn't any more important either.

Like being mad that people don't like changes to Diablo 2?

Of course you'd only whine about it here, cause if you whine about it on reddit or blizzard forums where most active players are present, you'd get roasted LMAO!

Lol. Not mad at all, I'm actually having fun reading your weak arguments in case you didn't notice lol.

Certainly. That's why I'd rather gripe about it here, where I'm nice and safe from any form of mass mockery. Not at all because I'm certain that the devs couldn't give a shit less what the disgruntled minority may think.

FYI, using "lol" and "lmao" like this means you are a faggot and your opinions are to be disregarded immediately.

I wanted to play summon druid in hell but it's weak
Just grind a bit, if you like something, you are gonna use it instead of making excuses.

Zoomers want changes

Why don't people just play the game they want to play instead of imposing their dipshit changes on the entire playerbase of an established 20 year old game. If you want PoE it exists, and it's free so why not play PoE?

I'm also going to take this opportunity to call you a casual fucking noob because of this statement.

Not all builds are strong
Git gud, almost any well built character can incorporate any skill tree in hell players 1 if you are good enough at the game. Some of them will require more gear than others but it isn't impossible to play niche builds.

You have had 20 years to figure this shit out and still you haven't.

I just want to say I actually agree with you on this to an extent. If they would have implemented a plugy like system where you could respec at will in D2R it would not have been a bad idea. I am constantly respecing my characters in single player when I decide I want to run different shit in D2.

I don't think greater rifts and primal gear grinding was fun though.,

That's you dumb opinion lol.

Yeah sure if you say so lol. Your argument about load times is just stupid and dumb that your credibility is just trash. No point in listening to a dumb whiner like you lol. Git gud huh? you Git Gud lol. You're obviously not the player that you claim to be dummy, I can tell by your lame statements that you havent touched the game for a long time and just whining here for the sake of it. Dumbass. Changes will be made and you whiners cant do anything about it cause your argument is weak lol.

If 2 months is a long time then you are a young boy. I have a Holy Grail that I grind when I'm bored and I'll never touch anything in Diablo 2 other than plugy again. If the game is truly "built on top of the original" as it has been touted then nothing should have changed, including loading times but that's beside the point. I'll agree to concede that I'm the only one bitching about load times but I have clocked hundreds of hours in the past year alone in D2, and that's not even counting the preceding 19.

You sound like DSP saying he's better than Valle for playing a port no one wanted to touch.

Personally I love D3's actual second-to-second combat and various builds. The balance sucks though and the endgame systems are not compelling. I dabble in new seasons but the rewards for completing one is not worth the effort asked of you.

I think it's impressive how slow and "at your own pace" the game starts at, then it ramps into a high-speed bullet hell at 100+ rifts. But there's very little incentive to play the game at that level for long which is a shame, most of the pieces are there but the love from the developers is definitely missing. Including consolefags was a mistake.

I agree, but conversely, running Greater Rifts was a fun way to pass the time while I've been stuck on the toilet.

Lol grind a bit? I can already tell you haven't played past nightmare lol. Stupid.
t. Kid who cannot into synergies and gear grinding into specific stat buffs. If I could run Hell Chaos Sanctuary solo on a Lightning Sorc back in the day (which is REALLY fucking painful because of the Lightning resist and reflect damage mobs), I'd say that's proof enough you can make anything expressly stupid work well enough with preparation and investment.

A telestomping Necromancer isn't exactly optimal but it can still get shit done with the right build, for instance.

Diablo achieves this goal in two ways: Endless loot, and endless progression. Diablo III did this exceptionally well with its paragon system and massive amount of items.
No. Just, no.

Dude, I'm talking about builds that you use to farm hell EFFICIENTLY. You said it yourself: your lightning sorc chaos run was "really fucking painfull". I imagine you die a lot lol. That's no where near efficient. You wont get decent loot when it takes forever for you to kill monsters.

Your lightning sorc build is definitely trash if your experience using it as you said "really fucking painfull". I dont think you understand what d2 endgame is lol. How can you do D2 runs using trash builds that's painfull to use lmao! IDIOT!

No. Just, no.
Care to share your thoughts?

You are once again arguing a thing that nobody else is talking about or even considering because it's irrespective of the point being discussed, though.

Considering that people would have continued playing Diablo 2 regardless of the graphical facelift I already consider it a never ending game.
