fuck you Leatherman.

Elon Musk is bragging on Twitter he killed Uber Lilith, forgetting to mention he literally braindead cheesed her with a high DPS build that skips all the phases and challenge, and his low IQ fans are not even noticing lmao

The real fight is like 10 mins+ and contains numerous one shot mechanics. High DPS skips all of it.

So he took the efficient route instead of playing a bad game?
No, he did not, as he reached level 100 and farmed gear for many , many hours.
BTW the game is significantly improved now. It's still pretty bad overall, but they did fix some stuff and no longer nerf shit up randomly which made thousands of people quit.
The idea is that Elon cannot really take credit for killing Uber Lilith in the state it is now. The fight used to take hundreds of attempts and was really retarded because of the one shot mechanics, but at least people like Wudijo and Raxx can take credit for dealing with all of that the legit way.

The “real fight,” like the one where you nerf yourself because they didn’t bother to balance shit?

Yeah man, like you’re playing elden ring wrong if you don’t roll an astrologer and limit yourself to only jumping attacks with a club

Well then I support blizzard nerfing it’s content for casuals. After all, that’s how I stopped being addicted to WoW and never played the kung fu panda expansion
They didn't even do that. I also quit in Cata during Dragon Soul, i.e. when LFR came out, although I did return to raid some in WoD and Legion, only to finally quit.
What they did with D4, which is not supposed to work like an MMORPG, was to release it without real endgame and gate access to this end boss, which dropped nothing of use (some mount, title, random gear) behind an insane grind to 100, which took forever and was done by spamming the same content (nightmare dungeons) for many, many hours. Then at Lilith it was just petty one shots, no real mechanics, just learn patterns of dumb shit on the floor and run away from chasing ghosts that you could barely see.
To make things worse, since this is an ARPG, class balance was almost inexistent, and some builds were beyond ridiculous and could skip mechanics, while others had to go for 10 mins of slow DPS.
And then Blizz chose to nerf most stuff, created a scandal, and almost everyone left, especially with BG3 out.
Now they just stopped nerfing and started releasing broken gear that can actually be relatively targeted and farmed, and there's a bit of increased interest in D4 again, but the game is far from being actually great.

Did he actually play the game or did he recoup Blizzard's development cost by whaling?

I made a new character on a whim this morning after not playing since August I think and jesus fuck there's still lag and rubber banding? There's no one fucking playing! Why the hell is this shit still happening?

You get what you pay for. Servers cost money and there are too few whales, Blizzard has taken L after L.

All this time later, I still haven't gone back to it after about 2 weeks of playing. Just got tired of it. I played DI for free the entire campaign and had a far better time. I even loved D3 and played that through more than once. I'd think maybe I'd just aged out of the genre or whatever, but DI was just before this and had a better pace. I'm not a fan of 'if you don't play all so many hours a day you fall helplessly behind' single player games in general, and I'm sure not going to pay for any micro transactions so when I got through the campaign and a few Parragon levels I felt fine ending it.

I haven't even bothered making a second character, I the story just wasn't interesting to redo. Maybe if there were different starting zones like WOW for classes/races I would've tried. I can't quite pin down what exactly puts me of on it. A big part is that it seems either too easy or too hard back and forth and level matching basic mobs takes a lot of fun out of it. Haven't even bothered to check in for months to see if they changed any of that.

To me getting paragon levels and chase after endless runs to get better loot, ever resetting inventory and item skins that meant fukall. Not to mention killing unique enemies in Vanilla D3 and going for more casual audience.

D1 set a example and very replayable and healthy player base with advent of Battlenet 1.0. Your buddies could co op, pick up your shit and dump it around tristram. Blood knights were last casual filter in hell, even more so in hell difficulty.

D 1/2 magic will not be captured ever again, we live in age of streamers chasing for that hard-core clout. In early days there was borderline lolcow by handle of KingKongor that used to stream D3 for his paypiggies, AthenWins found a money laundering cult.

It's just cancer from this point on. Thanks Activision.
