This is a amazing admission by dev that he does understand the left won't ever stop. If he was in any way serious about his centrism he would say some shit like "if that happens I will change sides to balance" but no, he can't even entertain the idea of voting right for a few elections to reorient the overton window. He HAS to keep going left.

Dev's argument that the left isn't a relentless juggernaut is that covid lockdowns were eventually ended. Seriously. It's not that there were massive protests and civil disobedience, the government in all it's benevolence knew exactly when they were no longer necessary for public health.

And the saddest part. He himself knows this. His video, "Liberalism's Great Flaw" is all about this issue. How the Progressive Left exploits the fact that by its own ideology, Liberalism has no brakes when it comes to pushing leftward.

I think that the entire point of all this rethoric about Trump and right wingers coming from these types for all these years was bait. They WANTED to have someone pull a stunt like this on them, so they could justify going full Reichstag Fire. But the right kept ignoring the bait, because they were very aware of how glowniggery like that works and the entire concept of "false flag used to take our guns and then push communism" is a fucking cliche among right wing conspiracies to the point it is a default position. Making things worse is how right wingers and conservatives have understood the nature of the beast they are fighting and how pointless it is to just shoot some professional bureaucrat that will just be replaced by a identical faggot without a entire campaign of killings already planned.

Now they are desperate, because they started this war and they know that not only are they in danger but if it does happen it won't be the home run they expected of them getting to victory lap and establish total dominance like they wanted. If it does happen it will be seen as turnabout being fair play. It will be seen as a response, not a attack. It won't galvanize people nowhere near the amount needed for their plans.
