Given the canon I remember about that show, no, it shouldn't affect him at all. He should be able to turn intangible and phase out because it's not either special technology or from the afterlife. Otherwise, the art just bothers me aside from the fetish aspect. They don't understand how lighting works at all and the art's just bad. On top of that, I'm not sure what the location is. A street? 1. Yeah, I noticed the art itself wasn't up to snuff either. His fingers look pathetically thin and the shading looks off too, but I can't place my finger as to why that one may be.
2. I can think of two reasons- Autism and because Nick themselves have done it before. Which, more or less, set themselves up for failure.

You'd think after a certain point, something would come along to completely replace Sonic OCs on the Autism Totem Pole of OCs. After all, anyone old enough to have actually played Sonic back when he was considered relevant is into their 30s, if not 40s - and anyone in that demographic still giving a shit about Sonic OCs is Chris or Chris-like. Would anyone younger really give that much of a shit even with 'retro fascination' as a factor when it means having to associate indirectly with autism's greatest hits?

Surely a much more recent franchise (or an older one with popularity in it yet) would eventually eliminate Sonic OCs for good.
